Q:

Steward Warner Kidde 2.0 cfm 4,500psi compressor & SCBA

Here is what I got yesterday…..

My FX electric compressor ($900.00 shipped CONUS)
will be for sale soon if anyone is interested…I sent the
FX electric pump shaft off to PA to get the seals
changed and just got it back today so the seals will
be new unused…

FX electric 3,000psi automatic shutoff, water
cooled, compressor
Works great on tanks up to 500cc. Best if filled
in 2 sessions to protect pump seals from over
heating…….I will have it put back together in the
next day or so…

FX 4 stage, 3,900psi, 270 bar, hand pump ($200.00 shipped CONUS),
will be for sale soon if anyone is interested

Mamcracken — You need to move a little closer to San Antonio so you can share. Like the set up.

Start saving your change, we can run a hose out there…lol…

Nice find mamcrackin. What is that PVC canister?
the dry pack?

Yea, it is to remove moisture….It is actually metal with PVC
looking end caps.

It’s nice to be reminded once in awhile that this ain’t kid stuff….
Still gives me the willies when I am watching the gauge go up.
Haven’t been to 4,500psi yet…I remembered that my Foster fittings
are not rated for 4,500psi….I am waiting for SS fittings…Will still be
nerve racking to see it climb that high…..

well that’s good to hear, I know from personal experience that it is a scary thing when you blow a water trap off the standard shop compressor, I can’t imagine what it would be like if that one blew 😯

I am quite jealous, one quick question though, is that water trap
going to hold up under the pressers? I’d hate to see that thing
blow and hurt you.

The guy I bought it from over does everything. He has been doing
air systems for over 30 yrs….He has an extensive background in
SCUBA, SCBA, HPA, and lol running missle bases for the Gov…
He does overhauls, repairs, conversions, you name it he is
the go to guy when it comes to air systems…..All is well..
