Q:

Still not happy…

Towards the end it fell of the reg but what is that downwards spike inthe middle? Any explanation or was it a one time off and I should go again?Regulated Cricket and without the last 2 shots the ES is around 4mps. Cannot get it below that…

You have to add more HST to 268mps otherwise your regulator is set high. If you want to use lower velocity like 264-5mps you have to probably slightly decrease your reg pressure.

That is important !

To get the most air efficacy it’s good to be on the lower side of the maximum peck curve that your HST will give, about 10-20 fps lower.
So if you’re set at 880 fps, but your max with an increase HST is at 890-900 fps you’re good to go @ 880 fps.

What you see on the top right is all the spring guide there is, but maybe it is sufficient

ok, when you have good spring guide use speed 880fps and make shot string.

I don’t think it has a very good spring guide, but Greg likes it and that is good enough for me

It seems like your regulator doesn’t work at optimal pressure. If you have max 270mps use 268-269mps As Greg tell you good spring guide is key to success.

Oh, you mean HSTA. Hammer Spring Tension Adjuster. Yes I have the same one, recieved it just a couple days ago from dase shop.

My max HST gives 270mps and the average on that string is 265,8 mps so I am in the clear I think

What exactly do you mean with what HST? Do you mean if it is maxed out etc? The thing is I set it for 268mps or 880fps but after doing some shooting and rechrony it was 264. I have now put some loctite on so my HST wont back out. I don’t really know if it is maxed out or not. guess I can try tighten it and see if speed goes up or down or same

I replace my OEM one with a Imppu HST v.3 it has a spring guild that help in getting consistent tension and also comes with a degasser.

Including that little spike towards the end it is ES 3,6mps or 11,8 fps. I’ll be happy with that

Alright, last one. Cleaned out the hammer area

Keep in mind I have a slight reg leak that I can’t fix until I get that damned reg-tester. Ville is slow on that. I think he needed it for something so I do not know if he sent it yet and I think he is getting sick of my emails

But that should not be a problem, it is too small/insignificant

You might what to try and take out your hammer and spring give it a good cleaning with denatured alcohol on a Q-tip, clean out the housing as well and reinstall them.

Don’t think it’s your reg …… but theirs is a slight chance that it could be your valve spring retainer has loosened/back out CCW ?

Also, what kind of HST do u have ?
