Q:

Still waiting on mine

Going on 7 weeks now and still no delivery date in site, is this normal? I’ve all but lost hope that I’ll actual receive it.

Wow and now it seems if I had gotten my Cricket from AoA I wouldn’t have been able to have Mr. Rowe tune it.

Or you can just stop calling them. Believe me I used to work for a retail operation that went under. Money talks. I hold the opinion that AOA purposely sets the price low on items where they are not the “exclusive dealer of said item. It is my opinion this practice is designed to crush competition. The uniformed buyer sees the Cricket priced at 1299 at AOA and 1499 at WWAG and he orders from AOA. This prevents the call to another dealer and the gun is ordered from Kalibrgun. This obvious price difference is set to attract the gun buyer yet the guns priced like that are rarely in stock. It very similar to the “one at this price” auto dealer scam. I know money doesn’t grow on trees but being treated like pond scum is not worth a couple hundred bucks. I can tell you Charlie from WWAG called me while he was shooting my Cricket. He tested it for leaks, shot it, and chronograph the gun with my favorite pellet and WWAG sent me the data. I had the Cricket 25 for 2 weeks and Charlie called me out of the blue to check on my gun! That one simple act won my business forever. Steve answers emails, phone calls and treats you like a friend. I know where my money is going to be spent from now on. I had to learn the hard way about AOA just like some of the posters on this board. It is not my desire to hurt anyone’s company (Obama is doing that on his own), but AOA needs to feel the sting of their customer contempt.

Hello to all. New to the forum. Love Airguns. Love reading the posts from everyone on the Forum…..

It appears from all that I have read there does appear to be a problem with certain retailers. Why not do something about it??? I welcome everyone to share this information with fellow airgunners.

We as consumers have no right to complain if we are not willing to take action. Why should consumers be required to put up a deposit for an airgun and then wait two to three months without ever receiving the order? Because we don’t seek remedy against the Retailers doing this.

I started to research this after reading this post. There are countless laws that govern Internet and Phone order fulfillment. One that is most often abused is Rule 435. Rule 435 clearly states: For any consumer who places an order by phone or Internet and makes a payment (full or deposit), the Retailer has 30 days to ship the order. The clock starts ticking the day you place the order and make a payment or deposit. If the order is NOT shipped by day 30 the Retailer is required BY LAW to notify you regarding the delay and/or to make full refund of your payment.

This does not apply to: Orders placed without payment, special order or custom products. Also, if the Retailer is up front and offers a timeline of two to three months, they are only required to offer notification after the three month deadline. If the Retailer offers you a timeline for shipment (i.e. he tells you within two weeks the order will ship) he must comply with the two week deadline.

If the Retailer offers you a shipping deadline and does not have adequate inventory on hand or orders in place with expected timely delivery of merchandise he is in violation of the law. There are stiff fines levied to Retailer in violation of the law.

These links provides detailed information regarding Rule 435:

In addition there are certain Retailers who have complete disregarded for Federal and State laws related to Fair Business Practice that are in place to protect the consumer. Violation of these laws should not continue to go unreported. Retailers who monopolize certain brands by negotiating exclusive contracts with manufacturers hurts everyone. They minimize the number of retail outlets available to consumer and fix pricing levels well above what can be considered fair and equitable. In the end it is always US, the customer who ends up with the short end of the stick.

We the consumer can put an end to this. Please visit this site:
http://www.ftc.gov/tips-advice/competition-guidance/guide-antitrust-laws

There are laws in place that dictate how Importers and Retailers have to conduct business. Penalties for violations of these laws are very severe. Here is just a small list of Antitrust Acts that have been in place for years that are meant to govern commerce here in the United States:
Price Fixing
Group Boycotts
Exclusive Dealing or Requirement Contracts
Refusal to Supply
Advertising products without adequate inventory to supply demand
Monopolization
Exclusive Supply Agreements
Refusal to Deal

If an Importer/Retailer continues to blatantly violate these laws, then everyone reading this needs to take action. One of the easiest ways to get things started would be to report violations. This is the link to a website that allows consumers to air their grievances:

https://www.azag.gov/complaints/consumer

If enough people are willing to take action we can put an end to these abusive practices. It only takes about 10 minutes of your time.

How ANTICIPATION has it way, it can kill it for a fellow air gunner ! 🙁

I had issues with AOA in the past, there all $$$, no heart and brain as long as they can hook you in.

LOVE, Steve and Kat @ WWAG ! there the best !

Hi John,
Sorry to read about your experience with AoA. I ordered my Cricket 25 wood stock from TopGun Airguns in Arizona and received my rifle in five days. They had them in stock. There backup service was excellent and I am very satisfied with their service on the product. I had some problems with the fill probe in the beginning and was able to meet with Peter of TopGun Airguns and he resolved the issue. As it turned out it was totally my error. But he was there when you needed support. I would definitely give them my business again……………………Paul

A month on the gun? I did not even ask about the clips I was so pissed.
Its just when I ordered the Cricket I was told 10 to 15 days no more the guns will be here, You will have no further wait,
I would have to look but I think that was around May 12th or so ?

‘A month on the the clips? Does this include the cricket too?’

Keep us posted I think there are a few ready to jump ship on AOA,,, If I have time Monday I may call around if I find one in stock , Its a done deal…
200 bucks is not worth this crap,,,
I am getting to my upper limits with AOA,,,
I called today to order two more 22 clips and was told , MAYBE A MONTH they are being held up… That would make it around July 13th
I did not order the clips, I was so pissed I hung up on the guy,

Talked to them on Wed and was told a couple more weeks. I canceled my order since, the sales person tried to talk me into a FX Bobcat but no way I want to pay that much more for what seems to be a gun with leak issues among other issues I’m finding out. This forum is a wealth of knowledge the way the salesperson talked about it I would have never known anything about the issues they had.

I ordered mine on 5/14.
Edward, when was the last time you spoke with someone there and what did they tell you?

Well decided I will be calling to cancel my order tomorrow and placing an order with Tony. Other vendors say they have them in stock now…..but Airguns of Arizona couldn’t fill my order in 7 weeks ?!?!?! I’m tired of their excuses and just want my new gun. Also gonna suggest they read the link I posted above as it seems they could really end up in some hot water if they continue with these practices.

Excuses I’ve heard so far:

Should be here in 2 weeks
Any day now
1 more week
Order was delayed
Should be here at the end of the week

What date did you order your gun????
Mike

Waiting on mine too. They told me it might be a month and half before I got mine though. It is definitely hard to wait though but I ordered a skeleton stock from WWAG with the extra money.

Waited over three months for the P12 saved a lot of money in that three months, So I thought I would go with a Cricket, Hell caught them on sale ,
around may 12 or so, I ask how long is the wait, AOA 10 to 15 day, alright here is my credit card , 500 dollar zap, I have been told just about everything
next day, soon, another couple of days, Then I got hold of someone that sounded like he new what he was talking about,,, June 15 is the day,,
I was going to add to my order but they have not responded to my Email in the past two days??????
AOA may just be to big for the little customers that only spend money on one gun????
Only thing I can think of.
Mike
