Q:

Sub MOA@450 yds-VIDEO

Hi,

Today went on a not good wind day to get informational Data with my Cold Shot 300 moa scope rail. This is the 400 METER Turkey but i was set up on 1000 yd range shooting benches and a little cross course. Lasered 450 yds. Wind was OK at FIRST SETTING UP, so set camera, shot several into bank to get elevation and just fired those 4 shots and were excellent. Wind was UP, so pulled camera and changed bullets and weight. Kept gathering information

Last 3 fired measured 2″ and 4 shot group, made it 4″

Have fired at 326 yds, Turkey from Silhouette Range at 421 yds and today at 450 yds. Been able to do MOA or LESS at all these, SO FAR ….

I went on to get MOA elevations at 571 yds, 700 yds and 800 yds. Had camera in car and forgot to take DOWN RANGE VIEW but is what it is……….Terrible day to get anything but what i DID DO………..

carl,

Thank you for the info. I have seen those tanks on one of the Chinese buying sites. What is the thread for that tank, it looks like it just screws right into the gun like the factory tank without any modifications.

Do you have the web site where you bought that tank ?

Thanks Carl,

Yes it is MADE for AIRFORCE and bolts right up to the valve. Correct threads on all counts. I have 2 of them. HEre is link. they advertise for awhile at $155, then it goes up to $387

Carl, thank you for the info, I bookmarked it and may follow in your footsteps 🙂 To use that tank, do you need to do any modifications to the hammer weight or spring, do you need a regulator ?

Again, Carl, thank you for being so helpful 🙂

If you use the same pressure as your stock tank, NO….I use a regulator from my LARGE tank into the rifle tank , so i can up pressure for heavier bullets because i use MORE PSI than the stock AL tanks MAX of 3000 psi. The MORE PSI you use, the more hammer and spring you need to open the valve.

Is that a SEB rest you are using? And how do you like it?

Yes it is the SEB NEO……Have had it about 3 yrs or more. It is the Rolls Royce of Rests. Smooth as smooth can be. I use on the bench, I DID shoot F-Class and shooting prone is EASY to adjust while prone with the joy stick. Several shooter friends have them now after I got mine…….almost a year wait to get one they are in such demand…………Highly recommend it……..Expensive but none better ………..

wll21506…….You’re welcome. I HAVE a 53 cu in tank (Catalina), but this pic isn’t it….It is a 30.5 cu in or 500 cc Carbon Fiber wrapped 4350 psi, straight from China Mainland. I use Doug Noble Valve, Hammer and spring. :Yes Doug’s work is first rate, but my Gunsmith and I built the gun with parts I secured……Carl

Nice shooting but what gun, caliber, pellet, were you were using, and what was your velocity.

Without that info, your video does not mean much.

Thank You. I think it does mean a lOT, since it is posted on an airgun forum and in the CONDOR THREADS. No other airgun has done what i have posted these past 10 months!! I have posted so many videos out to 1065 yds with AIR, and all about the shots and rifle, so assumed everyone know who I am? .257 Airforce Condor, Doug Noble valve….I can shoot FASTER but tune for accuracy….these were Arsenal Mold 72 gr 257420 mold, 3300 psi, Launched at 1050 fps…..Have shot them to 1300 fps but groups are shotgun effect.

Thank you, I thought it would be a condor but not like what you have. Your gun is very, very nice. I have seen quite a few guys shoot .257. Is that a 53ci tank from Catalina ?

Everything I have seen about what Doug does is top notch !

Thank you for the explanation.
