Q:

Supergrade Vulcan’s

I’ve been admiring the Super Grade :biggrinn: finish on the Vulcans that are advertised at the top of the forum with Talon Tunes. Has anyone actually got one that looked that good. The marbled walnut on those look like some sort of select grade wood. The few that I’ve seen pictures of didn’t look nothing like that. If I knew my wood (no pun intended) would like that I might purchase one.

It has some decent grain.

For some reason or another my post was taken down or it never entered correctly yesterday because it’s not here.

I would have been even more excited about this gun when I got it had it had better wood there was little grain like a Beech Stock and not a Walnut Stock. The stock finish was nice. Maybe this post will stay up.

If magazine covers do it, we should also gussie up your gun picts in photoshop like….

I haven’t seen a “bad” looking Vulcan .Yet.
All of them would look better stripped, some may need a bit of stain , and then oiled.

Yea, AJ yours isn’t bad at all. It does have a little character. I’ve seen some that looked like some of the old yeller Marauder stocks. They could be stripped down and refinished though. I did that to a couple of Marauders and they really came out nice.

Just turn the gun right side up, you moron ! You truly should´ve known … :sadn:

I talked to Evgeny some good while ago and asked him what a spare stock would cost and if i could get a real nice one. I also wanted to have the stock “raw” , without lacquer, so i could stain and oil the bugger to my liking. I can´t remember the price but it was surprisingly low and he said he could send me Pictures of the stocks he thinks are the finest ones. I never proceeded with the order though since i don´t much care how the stock looks like – as long as the gun shoots, which it does.
