Supersear – using light spring – safety no longer engages??
In a recent post by Steve in NC, on the yellow
he mentions that he uses the stock Talon spring instead of the spring supplied in the Supersear kit. I tried it and here is what it does. Safety no longer functions which is fine by me. I hate that thing. Is it normal for safety to not work anymore with the lighter spring? What I mean by not work anymore is I don’t think it even engages, When I push forward, there is no “click”. Trigger pull is awesome – I used to shoot competitive smallbore with 3 oz trigger. This is probably ¼ lb which is nice. So I tried simply pulling the trigger without clicking the safety and it fired. So…. In essence, it looks like reducing spring weight disengages the safety??

On mine the heavy spring that comes with the kit is place near the trigger the lighter stock spring is foward near the safety.. Maybe yours is adjusted to light?
This is probably the worst safety design ever conceived. Remove it, problem solved.
It’s probably too different mutually exclusive events here. Take the safety out you should have done it while ou hadit apar.t. Steve in NC who makes the Super Sear I think uses the lighter spring, I use the heavier one and like it.
Steve has also posted a recent mod to the safety as well. Goggle and search is your friend!!!!

There are three safetys for the AF platform.
1. the one between your ears. 😉
2. Pellet in breach, with breach un-cocked while not shooting, ie., walking, hunting, talking, setting ready by the door in your home, truck, what ever.
3. The POS located forward of the trigger in the guard. THROW that Crappy Damed Thing far AWAY!!!. They only way that un-safe-safety is safe!
AF Shold be assamed of themselves over that so-called Saftey! 👿 :evil 😯
