Swaged some .251 bullets today .

I have the standard barrel . I have a Corbin S swaging press but they do make dies that will work in regular reloading presses that have the 7/8 X 14 thread . I do know were one of such dies is located if one is wanting one . And I know Andy Hill [ wolf bullets or shooters shack ] on e bay said he would make me one for a relaoding press . I am going to chony it in a week or two as soon as I get several hundered bullets made . But the 50 – 100 yard is going to have to wait till the weather gets better . I make the same bullet is a .357 for my 201s and they are very accurate at 65 yards never had a chance to do any longer testing with them befor the weather turned bad . Cost wise the die from Andy is about $ 140.00 . Cost for pure lead varies . On e bay it was about a $ 1.25 a pound . There are 7000 grains in a pound . I recycle lead from the dirt bank at the shooting range . If I start with 100 pounds I end up with about 50 of pure lead at no cost but time after I get the dirt , copper jackes . tin , and what ever other hardeners were used removed . I have more time than money I guess . Or you can buy pure lead wire for about $ 3.00 a pound Marvin

Yes the Corbin brothers both know what they are doing . And have been around for many years . I cast and swag for my self . It adds a lot of satisfaction to the sport when the results are good . I have had very good results with this bullet type in the past with my big bores . I have tried to use the cow boy pistol molds in the past . But the results were poor at longer ranges . When I get more bullets made I will change the barrel and run some test with them . Marvin
