Swfa lovers

I finally buyed swfa scope :8:
I am from Europe and swfa did not shipping any product in Eu untill now. So if you live outside USA now is chance for you! The only problem is the price of customs duties and shipping cost. I was ordered for 399 $ on sale swfa 3-15 × 42 and the total cost was around $ 700.

That some serious shits, don’t go breaking any federal laws, just not worth it.

DIY Zero Stop Shims for your Super Sniper scope.
I went to my local hardware store today to pick up some Nylon washers for cheap to try and make my own Zero Stops , 1” OD x .75”ID x 1/16” thick.

I marked Optical center with a red Sharpie for reference back when I need to ……..

So I installed 2 and got very close to what I needed, which both together measured .258” thick.
For every complete full rotation it changes by .025”.
To de-gas the turret I used a piece of paper and cut it to look like this with a slit down the middle to help release the air.

After tightening the 3 set screws on the turrets to 5 in/lbs I gently removed the paper degasser…….

Okay, I made a formula for the Zero Stop Shim to use with the SWFA SS scopes for you DIY guys. :biggrinn:

Zero Stop shim thickness = (.165”<->.168”) – (.0005” x # of clicks from Optical Center to your zero)

If you prefer a slight over shoot use .165”, I got about 4 clicks pass zero which I like better.
If you like to be closer to your zero use .168”, if it’s under you can always remove a bit more.

NOTE: You must count the click from Optical/Factory Center, if you lost that position you will need to Optical Center your scope to begin to make the shim(s).

I made a jig with scrap wood to sand down the nylon washer to whatever thickness I need.

i did contact’em two times and they refuse

i even told them i have import licence ..

i dont understand why …they refuse to sell’em outside

It is because the US State Department restricts the export of any scope that has range finding capability. Any Mil-dot system falls under that law. Some countries carry further restrictions depending on the perceived threat to USA citizens. In this case, the exporter will be in serious trouble if caught violating this law.

we have restrictions but like you said, funny that you can buy it in US and take it with you whereever you go! but no export as an item that falls in many riflescopes in US .. they need permissions and long process takes months,

hope to get one soon enough

The only reason i was the price, the sfp model I ordered was $ 300 cheaper than the ffp model. SWFA was a long-awaited wish and I can say that I’m very pleased with all the features it provides.

. Love my SWFT !

Hello Reeleone,
Any reasons why u choose the 2nd FP instead over the FFP ?

Like to know everyone’s option ………. it’s just that there is no right or wrong just different application and personal experience preference too.

In the Airgun world we need all the more insight give into its trajectory and all.
