2240
After being delayed almost a week due to snow my 2240 from the custom shop has arrived!
Looks very nice, light weight. Quiet with TKO muzzle break on her. Very accurate at 20 yards. Hit a can at 60 yards a few times. Very impressed with this little gun.
Need to get a allen wrench to get at the breach screw to install my new bolt from Mellon air. Got a power adjuster coming from him as well. Making a little monster!
Can’t wait till it gets warmer out then the co2 will be at full potential.

I hear ya…I be desiring a hot Dodge Viper…….I can afford a GMC canyon pickup 😥
Packrat,
Well I am still working at getting my Disco pistol up and going with a 14 inch barrel and boss valve, right now I am missing the fill cap.
My dream guns presently are the xpairguns 58 and a Royal 25.
But champange tastes and beer budget, or wish in one hand and shit in the other.

I figured you more for an S510 kind of guy 😀 😀
And believe it or not, I actually “got it” that you were kidding…I’ll admit my actions do beg investigation…bragging on Air Arms, but buying Air Force 😎 😎 Just doesn’t sound right, now does it 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄
My problem is that I’m addicted to ALL makes, models and brands !! Hep me—can somebody hep me ❓ ❓
That cheap fuck Packrat, he gets us all going on these 2240 conversions and then he will not pay for them. 😆
Whats worse, he then jumps ship and buys a blue SS with the money he could have sent to his newest convert!
Packrat, will you buy me a AA410?
See theres the proof, he won’t buy me a AA 410, yet he keeps telling us how good they are.
Rodger, now I am kidding you so don’t get pissed off.

Matt- as Roachcreek said, you can go with the “PCP” style HPA tube if you like that look, or you can go with the “bottle” look..your choice.
IF you have to buy all the components to do a bottle conversion, you’ll be looking at about $200.00 ..again, that’s if you have to buy it all.If you modify your current valve for instance, it would save you $40.00…. the bottle is like $120.00, tank block about $35.00.. so, ball is in your court…decide which look you like the best..I believe the PCP tube style is going to run into quite a bit more money 🙄 🙄
If I can help, jus give a shout..glad to help any way I can, other than helping with the financing 😆 😆 😆
Matt,
Max is when you can’t cock it anymore. It will also increase the trigger pull.
Once you go HPA you will never return to CO2.
Any allen wrench set should have that wrench.

Roachcreek
Have not got my wrench yet. Had to get it special ordered.. place did not have one, oh the joy..
Is it safe to have the spring at a high tension at all times? I pretty much have it maxed out as far as I know.. becoming hard to tighten any more.. I am assuming that’s max?
I want to try a disco spring in it.. see how that performs. But still.. limited to basement 6 yard shooting for a good temp. Too cold out side..

Matt,
Co2 just does not cut it for me, unless I am making boiler makers for the wife.
Cothran makes a good Stainless tube, as does Pacificpelletguns here in Oregon, his go up to 4000PSI I think. Get it fitted with a Disco boss valve,. or do a short tube modded for a paintball HPA tank, 80 grit and Packrat are the kings of that mod and will give you any info you need.
The Disco Boss valve, will get you into the 800 FPS realm with your barrel. The paintball HPA tank will give you a lot of shots, trouble is it is uglier that a bucket full of unwiped assholes.
Remember ou get back 60 cents on the dollar for every thing you spend to make these toys, they are fun to build, will increase your knowledge of HPA and valves and just plain fun, which is why we do this.
Did you get your wrench yet?

Roachcreek
One of mine is pictured below..it will shoot 40 shots at 930 fps using 14.3 pellets OR I can turn the PA all the way in and get 21 shots at 790 fps, using 25.4 JSB Monsters which is over 34FPE from that little 13 cu.in bottle.( and it only has 18″ barrel)..gun weighs less than 6 pounds with scope 😆 😆 I built it, so can you..that’s the nicest part about it!
What parts did you use to convert to HPA? I want to do the same thing. I got a power adjuster today, works great… more power! I won’t be able to push the gun to it’s limits co2 wise until spring / summer time.
Yeah these sure are lots of fun, but keep in mind they have low resale value. I was bitten by the 22xx bug and built nearly 12 of them in a short time. Spent more money with Crosman and the many custom parts providers then I care to recall.
Couple that flow through bolt and power adjuster with a transfer port mod with poly tubing and various spring weights, polish that hammer and tube, and stock up on lead for the crony testing 😀
I really admire the CF look of the shoulder stock..The 22XX series Crosman is the very neatest gun ever when it comes to modifying…LOTS of different ways you can go with them…..

go to any local garage and ask a mechanic i bet they will have a dozen on hand and will let ya have one or for a buck or too give it to you
i have a few if i find one i can ill look around give it you ill mail it your in MA so it would be there in a day or 2
lemme know
It’s a 24″ barrel .22 caliber. With a 6.5 TKO muzzle break. Does a great job.
Ive got Mellon’s SS Bolt W/Flow Through Probe.. the $18 dollar one. It’s supposed to give me a little increase in velocity. I need to get the proper allen wrench to get at the breach. Till then I am shooting stock.
I ordered a power adjuster too from him. That will give me some extra power.
I have a chrono.. I will have to see what type of FPS I am getting.
-Matt
Mercy lad, how long is that barrel?
I’ve got an AS2250XT that I’m tricking out, and I’m thinking my 14″ barrel is not quite long enough. I’ll know when I chrony the results with the Mellon long probe, Disco spring, B&A valve, and poly TP.
Have you got a chrono? I’m curious what it will do stock.
Hoot 😯

This weekend I visited my daughter and her significant other, a fine lad.
It was the first long trip in my Exploder, my last car had been an Audi Alroad that kept me broke with repairs, but it was fast, surefooted and a joy to drive.
My ass hurt, I was exhausted from herding that Eddie Baur slug down the road.
Tim, the boy, was showing me his workshop and he had a car with a cover on it, turns out it was a Ford supercoupe Tbird, a 1990 that had the v6 with the super charger on it. It had a top speed of just under 170 MPH, and a body designed by BMW and refered to as BMW 6 series he bought it when it had 1800 miles on it, and it now had 120,000.
He redid the suspension to get rid of the floaty feeling, and used to run it on the track, but it is still a domestic family car.
He does not want much for it, I am considering buying it from him.
