TAG needs it’s own BOI
I’ve had a gun posted for sale for the past couple of weeks. First deadbeat buyer contacted me right after posting it for sale that he would take it and money would be on it’s way. After a week holding the gun for him and no further communication, I opened it back up to buyers.
Shortly after that, the second deadbeat buyer contacted me, we even exchanged phone calls with an “I’ll take it, money is on the way”. Another week has gone by, no more contact from this one.
Sure would be nice to atleast let someone know you’ve had a change of heart and for those that prefer other ultimatums, to have a place to advertise these bums…..

great point you have, maybe WOK can interject, what is wrong with turning the soft chrono link into a place everyone could post a experience about a deal they did?
maybe I am wrong, but I never went to the soft chrony link myself, is it ever used ? if so my apologies.
I guess we could do a post anywhere here about a transaction, but would be nice if there was a specific location for it.
I don’t think it would take too much moderation, we could moniter it ourselves, someone calls bullshit on another member, either they are backed by members or they are put into the trash.
I’m with rob that very few bad deals have ever gone on here. I remember the one he’s talking about, and that guy got an earful.. eyefull I guess for typing…. anyway he was put in his place. 😀

Here is the scoop on a BOI for the TAG.
I remember the last bad deal that happened here. I know because I was involved…. not as the bad guy though! When word got out, that poor bastard was so hounded that even I felt sorry for him and asked that the posts be removed. Needless to say he is not here any more…at least under the same name.
I think that we as a group are open enough that if we have a bad deal with someone, we just speak up and the masses take care of the virtual bitch slap.
Think of it this way… the BOI on the Yellow… it’s full of ego pumping ‘Good guy’ posts… but there are very few ‘asshole’ posts.
… and here on the TAG, if we find an asshole, we call him out on it and pull no punches.
If no one is outed publicly, I assume that anyone here is on the up and up. Might bite me one day… but the good deals and transactions I’ve had with TAG members will ALWAYS outweigh the bad.

The soft chrono section is never used, why not make that the good,bad,ugly???

There is, it would just require making a new forum which is easy enough. I think the consensus of the senior membership (I ALMOST said “Charter” membership LOL) is that we dont need it and the BOI over on the Yellow serve’s us well.
No one has been told to shut up when they have posted their experiences in whatever sub form they felt neccessary here – but the YF is more formal, has a larger readership and keeps everything in one centralized place.

Impossible. Due to we use the Yellow Forum BOI just as the rest of the airgunners in the USA do.
I currently use the BOI on the yellow forum but is there a way to offer one here just wondering
I think in the past TAG members has been pretty good about outing folks who have shitted them.
Besides, I think most folks on the forums know about the Yellow BOI anyway… Just post it there and state the name he uses on the TAG.

I think the Yellow Forum BOI is an excellent place for this – Would be consolidated so one doesnt need to check several places to find the deadbeats and there is no repetition of effort on the other party – I’ve seen guys post gunbroker feedback, ebay feedback there so it isnt strictly yellow forum experiences that can be posted there. If I have a good deal with a guy on here I have no problem posting that on the YF BOI
Plus let them deal with it and all the high emotions that that type of thing can bring.
Less drama here the better (and I say this as a.. “somewhat” reformed drama creator)

I cannot speak to the logistics of adding a BOI to our forum as I’m not familiar with the innards of it….
I tend to think it would be fun… I’m just not sure of the ‘need’… but then again, it’s not my decision.
