Tagdagger Archery Kit w/Blodnob valve

I got a kit a week or so ago from tagdagger in exchange for some work. Got around to trying it out this morning.

Using a blodnob valve, my own hammer which is somewhere around 90grams and a stock SS spring – with a 12″ barrel it shoots JSB 15.8gr around 920 fps/29fpe.

My maxed out 14 yard indoor range with my archery target at one end, first shot hit what I thought was the wall at first because I was aiming at the bottom right dot to get the best path through my chrony 😳 bouncing back but doing no damage to the arrow, so I aimed at the center of the bag this time 🙄 first two shots were good, could see they were touching, third shot I didn’t see where it was so I assumed it was in a bundle of three all touching which is what I want.

Turned out I’d hit the edge of my table saws table.

Arrow’s weigh around 282grains. Chrony read on average for the 4 shots 260fps which is 40 fpe.

My 70lb compound bow shoots around 270 fps (with heavier arrows) so I’m more than happy with that speed. I could make changes to my blodnob valve to get a lot more velocity – add the heavier spring, make my hammer heavier and change the tophat distance etc but that would change my pellet velocities and be wasting air to boot with my 12″ .22 barrel so I’m going to leave it as is and just require a quick barrel swap if I want to shoot arrows.
