Q:

Tagdagger

Will your conversion kit work with a .25 cal condor

Also what would the fps range be with a Tony’s AAA valve modification…

Is it similar to your valve modification?

By the way, the Tagdagger conversion is extremely high quality. I’ve seen a lot of posts on here about REDUCING the power. People are having problems with the arrow going straight through the backstop ruining the arrows.

Thanks, that helped a lot 😀

if you know how to do some basic valve adjustment, get the air archer then. i imagine if you closed the tophat all the way, you may be able to slow down the jsb pellets enough for their first class accuracy. hope you got a long barrel, though. even if the tophat is closed down, like i said, the valve will move a LOT of air. try dropping roachcreek a line, he knows the ins and outs of these setups better than most…

ps- 80 grit got the ideal solution, but it will be a bit financially taxing. look in the recycle bin for a used frame. i got a spare, but it isnt the prettiest, and its literally JUST the aluminum frame…was gonna use it to build a project gun for my old lady, but if she dont agree to help me pay for the barrel drum is turning for me, itll be MY gun all said and done… 😛 😉

Take it from someone who swam in those waters before. You are not going to want to go back and forth from barrel to airarcher. Ideally you want a dedicated Airarcher frame. If you cannot swing this…at least have two separate tank/valve set ups….It gets to be a PITA going back and forth….I did it all of one time before I started searching for a donor gun for my Air Archer….

Basically I want a gun that can do both. Tony used a 95 gram hammer and air archer uses a 100 gram hammer. Should I get tony’s modification or air archers. I want to be able to shoot JSB size pellets up to 43 grn Eujin pellets, and be able to swap in the airarcher conversion. I need some more opinions pleeeeeeeeeeease!!!!!! 😀

tonys valves arent really set up for arrows, bear in mind besides the valve you get a heavy hammerspring and spacer. maybe itd work if you turned out the tophat all the way and backed out the spring retainer to allow full travel, but thatd eliminate a lot of the benefit of having him do a valve job for ya. last i checked, tagdagger can get those arrows up to about 5oo fps 😯 😯 . yes, you can convert a .25 condor into an airarcher, and back again. any AF gun can be converted easily, thats the beauty of these guns.

His basic arrow conversion set does not include a valve modification but if you do get his valve modification he says it will send the arrows around 400 fps rather than 350…

Also I still need to know if his kit will work with a .25 condor….

I believe Tagdagger says with the basic arrow conversion set you will get speeds of up to 350 fps with a stock gun, now with tony’s tune up what would the speeds be then???

ill chime in. the air archer conversion replaces the barrel with a tube that the arrow slides over, goes in like swapping barrels. the AAA valve is basically a hi flow with all the polishing, porting, and settings done for ya by the master himself. the airarcher valve seems to be in a constant state of improvement, it can move a LOT of air. it consists of a ported hi flow stem, vented delrin, a specialty longer return spring that sits well inside a custom bored out spring retainer to ensure maximum flow through and around the spring, typically with a very high tophat adjustment to fill those arrows with air and launch em. they are both far superior to the stock hi flow, but both serve a different purpose. the air archer valve may be a bit too hot for most pellets, but move slugs along beautifully if you close the tophat gap a bit. tonys valve is best for someone who wants a powerful, versatile valve that can reasonably accommodate a wide range of projectiles, from middleweight clear through surefire slugs with a standard or minimally altered rifle, while the air archer valve may be best for someone who is competent making adjustments for shooting heavy pellets , heavy slugs, and, of course, arrows… 😉
