TAGuard….. My new trigger guard
I hate the flimsy trigger guard AF puts on their rifles. I designed this to fit the stock grip as well as the AR15 adapter I am working on.
One of the benefits is it allows a large knob on the safety and it is easy to push it off with the trigger finger.
Take a look.

What do you think of it?
I need to give it a coat of powder coat but ran out of time.

I am going to run a ball end mill down the length to narrow the lower 1/2 and give a concave radius going upto the upper 1/2.
This will serve 2 purposes, it will decrease the dimension of the thin trigger guard to fit into the grip. Otherwise the grip would need to be altered a bit. It also will give it a nicer line and appeal to the eye.
I will be picking up a ball end mill hopefully tomorrow and give it a go. Then it will go to powder coat.
I will be taking orders soon!

When I finish the AR15 adapter it will use the new trigger guard. All this stuff needs to be compatible as some will use the stock grip and others will want the AR15 grip.

WoK is the position of the guard going to be the same hight on the AR adaptor? I was thinking we could fix it to the adaptor and I could just inlet a bit of it into the fore arm.

With that set up I suggest you inlet that foregrip and extend a piece of aluminum back into the grip.
The way you made it you would need to put in a piece of metal flat bar to make up for the space of the trigger guard under your fore grip.
The other option is you could cut back the foregrip about 1″ and then a small trigger guard could be milled out and screwed into your forgrip on the angle and extend back to the grip 😉

I like them both. The other version does take a lot more machining. I started to work on this design after looking at a lot of assault weapons and their trigger guards. It is very stream line and follows the lines of the rifle more then my original.
The AF trigger guard is pretty narrow. So in the grip there are 2 molded bumps to keep it from moving side to side. To get this trigger guard on I unscrewed the grip halves and removed them with a dremel tool. This allows the full 1/2″ width of the trigger guard to be used instead of having to mill it smaller just at the tip where it sits on the grip.
I want to make a trigger guard members can drop it. But I also want it to be affordable as well as rock solid!
