I have a barrel from Jamie, that will be in soon.
But with all the Taipan barrel talk going on, I thought I would share with the class.

Well all, I’ll wait to see what happens with my Short when it arrives. The weather is warming up finally so maybe I can do some outdoor shooting to assess this Taipan Mutant Short with the mystery barrel.If Petr bought them cheap then put a “high quality” barrel in them, making them shooters, I’ve gone along for the ride, and I have limited recourse. The unsold Shorts sound like a business opportunity to me; improve on the deficient barrels, and make a little money. How that’s done may not be ethically correct, but Capitalism never seemed to mind that. As you, I’d be interested in the truth. Petr has told me the barrels come from a barrel maker in the Czech Republic (not CZub Firearms). If that turns out not to be the truth Petr intended me to believe, I’ll piss a Mississippi of a fit, and the whole goddamn web will be my vent-bitch.
Oak, I appreciate your frankness and your candor. I still believe in what Dman has posted. It’s important for me to see this through regardless of the outcome. In for a penny; in for a pound. Kool-Aid anyone?

Darryl selling off old inventory with the old barrels using Peter and TGAG as a front as if you are getting a gun with a new barrel is not full disclosure. Not exactly sure you understand this or not but the Mutant Compacts sales came to a complete halt after I posted and Soze posted that our barrels were made in Korea and had issues. Just to get you up to speed there were many guns unsold sitting on shelves with the original barrels in them. I have received information that Peter was getting access to these guns and was going to swap out these barrels with his CZ Republic made ones? He maybe getting barreless guns from the Ukraine but there are plenty of gun already here in the USA with barrels that were not sold. I believe the gun started selling again because folks expected a rebarreled gun not guns with the original barrels still in them. Then finding out that Ohh when we get those barrels in if you are unhappy with the ones we gave you we will ship them when we get them. I really don’t care what DMAN says TO ME IT APPEARS THAT HE has some vested interest IN MUTANT SALES IN THIS COUNTRY. My only interest the truth.
selling off old inventory? Didn’t Dman address this already? I thought he said the Taiwanese barrels would be replaced by the manufacturer, or something to that effect.

I have no concern with Peters Czech Republic made barrels. What I want to know are those barrels in the gun yet? Or is Peter pulling a bait an switch until he gets his hands on them. Why is Charlie from GA sending out guns with the old barrels if Peter is working on his third shipment of the replacement barrels from CZ Republic? This just makes no sense to me. :whistle:

I can’t see that the barrels from Peter, will be any better.
I’m sticking with Jamie’s barrel, all u guys like them. 
There’s a difference between a barrel from the CZub (Arms) manufacturer and a barrel-maker in the CZ as in Czech Republic. So I’m assuming Petr means these barrels are not from the former, but are from the latter.CZ (CZub barrels use hammer-forging in it’s barrel-making process. The barrels from the barrel-maker in the Czech Republic is assumed to use the button-rifling manufacturing method, as has been discussed earlier in the “Mutant Shorts on the way?” thread. I deduced this from Petr having told me the latter barrels are made using the same rifling process as LW barrels are made. When I searched that out I ofund that Lothar Walther uses the button-rifling process.

“BTW; It is not a CZ barrel” Petr from yellow post. ❓ 😕 OK NOW I’m confused, he said he is using up remaining inventory of CZ barrels because a third shipment is in route, so why are they testing Korean or other brand barrels ? ? ? ? ? ?
Also it sounds and looks like the CZ barrels for all B/Ps are drying up, seeing the CZ barrel option available on most CZ barreled B/Ps on TGAG?
Fox, thanks for posting the link. I was able to contact Petr via text and was told the guns are shipping. I asked for a (FedEx) tracking number. With the time difference there is still several hours before I expect to see it.
Oak, are you saying none of the Shorts will ship from TGAG with a barrel made in the Czech Republic? If true, that is some serious speak, and people might be enraged even if the gun shoots as well as a Short outfitted with a Listone barrel. It would be a matter of principle. True? I still expect a Short with a high-quality barrel made in the Czech Republic. I expect it to be as accurate as a Listone. Maybe someone who (eventually) owns both would let a shooter do a blind accuracy test of a Listone versus this mystery barrel made in the Czech Republic.Peter says he’s testing every gun for accuracy. Who knows? Maybe that would put the matter to rest?

What guns shipped out to date have been shipped out with Czech barrels? Peter has not supplied what he promised. This is a sales pitch post by Peter still selling Shorts with the original barrels!

I said nothing about replacing Taiwanese barrels. (why would he anyhow they seem to be doing well)
What i Had said is this. The Manufacture will Replace the SHitty barrels with CZ barrels when he gets them in. This was said back when the whole thing went down…..
it has just taken them a while to get the barrels in…. not sure when they will be sent this way. but the manufacture will be replacing them for those that want it.
