You guys in the know, Not just guessing , But in the know.
Do you think the Mutant will ever get the barrel thing straightened out?
You know come with a good barrel like it should have from the start.
Just wondering if this gun will ever have a place , and a name to live up to like the Crickets.
The gun seems so good , Its just a shame the barrel is a crap shoot on what your going to get.
Even the machine work from Peters new barrels seems to be second rate,
I had a chance to buy one of the good ones and I passed it up, just burned out on the gun itself.
I am now regretting that mistake, But water under the bridge,,,
I question my on judgment sometimes , I have a 22 and 25 cricket that shoots heads off sparrows at 50 yards.
Just how much better can it get,

For me, it’s what u get from its first impression. … … … like all others.
I lost a lot of velocity with the up dated chock barrel and lost some air efficacy also.
Kind of thinking maybe of getting a cock less-barrels hi ends though, maybe ?
I’m just using and working on my new my Edgun Matador R3M 22 std for now and awaiting on the TAG improvements with the Shorty ………. 😉

RS – my gun I just received if very accurate with 15.9s and 18.1. Capable of sub 1/2″ at 50 yards. I was told it is a CZ barrel. Dman1114 did some checking and said they all of the barrels on the Shorts coming in now are CZub’s like mine. I can’t say if they are all as accurate as not. It is as good as my Crickets and maybe a bit better. I did request the most accurate one of the shipment because my name was at the top of the list. Not sure if that makes any difference. Off of the shelf guns can and do vary of any brand.
If one has an old barrel just get a Listone and replace it in a heart beat. I guess I don’t see all of the fuss. They are not expensive.
