Taipan talk…..
Ok lets talk Taipan here,
so I noticed some differences with the Taipans.
Lets start off with this pic, click the pix too make them bigger.
Was this a prototype Taipan there is no marking from the factory at all.
But it is a Taipan bullpup, right side.
Left side no marking at all, stock is different as well.
It uses a different style mag too.
Now moving on to the Taipan2
It looks like it uses the same mag design.
They sell the Taipan 2 in the E.U. but not here why, and which is better?
What mag, design is better?
Then the last pic, says made in the U.S. & has a plastic wined up mag.
With a different stock also, & a bolt action.
What the deal with that one? :popcorn:

I call it the Mutador…… Its made out of Wenge. Its a little heavier than i like but I’m gonna put it in the mill and make some pocket in the inside to drop some weight.
and the trigger is a little bit to far forward for my liking . but I’m gonna make a custom blade on the Mill soon enough…..
Btw He does have the inlet specs for a Mutant …. so I’m sure he can carve up anything

That would look kool on a shorty, your idea.

If I ever have a custom stock made for the shorty I will imitate parts of the Vulcan stock. I would just increase the heel to toe dimension over what the Vulcan currently has.

I rember on the Cricket post some guy, was showing off his work, Jamie & I told him too make some 4 the Taipan, but nothing happend with it.

I am also loving my shorty, it too is my favorite bullpup (and I have had a few). Feeling a little Jelly of Fox’s crow kills I took one out at 80 yards today and I stoned him. Since I live in suburbia I had to quickly dispose of the body. So no ability to photo the critter. Here’s the funny thing about the shorty. At the lower speed (805 fps 18.1 JSB) I am getting a better BC than with guns where I shoot the 18.1 at 900 fps.
Just dreaming here when I say this….
But it would be so f-ing kool.

Maybe with a bigger size o.d. air tube, & still keep it short.
I nailed 5 crows today, with my shorty.
One right after the other, all I could hear was the 15 gr jsbs hitting the crows.
At 60 yards, their was about 6-5 other crows, flying around.
But they would not land, because a hawk showed up and ruined the dam party I was throwing 4 the crows!
