Q:

Talon / Condor valve help

Somewhere not long ago, If memory serves me correct. I rember seeing a topic on turning a talon valve into a condor valve…I ordered parts from Airforce yesterday…I have 2 tanks one is the solid steel type under the tophat and the other has a brass insert with 2 demples….Can anyone give any pointers if I’m heading in the right direction…I am thinking the one that I can change is the one with the brass insert.

j3mag,
75 grams is correct for the new valve which ought to leave you with useful power band via power wheel.

A light spring pressure setting with the spring retainer is usually preferable,, then of course adjust the top hat the way you wish.
Don’t forget to use a spot of adhesive or thread lock upon setting your spring retainer.

I think you are gonna like the new valve! Have fun.

Yeh I’ve got a new hammer I just made to install…I started with a 75 gr..I hope to have a little curve….

The valve with the brass stem guide is the correct valve.

If you have all the new condor valve parts you swap out the old.
I would remove the valve body from the tank so I could adjust the spring retainer. Don’t forget to empty the tank of all air pressure before you start working.

If you have the new condor valve and you are going to use it on a talon set up you should have the extra striker weight.
