Q:

Talon-P arrived, its a beast

Talon-P arrived, shot a few rounds of JSB Kings through it, this is going to be fun. I expected a loud report, it does not disappoint, its LOUD, report is cross between crack of .22 rim fire and rapid whoooosh at same time most surprising is the recoil. :suprisedn: Been shooting AA S510, M-rods n .22 and .25, AA S200-B, Logun Gladiator, didn’t expect the recoil the light weight Talon-P has, its a beast, LOVE IT!
MadDog Ultima stock fully outfitted on order as well as TT Quick Change Top Hat and 9″ shroud, should make a sweetheart carbine.

How well did the TT ldc tame down the report on the TalonP?

Helped IMMENSELY, thank you. Would like to tame it a bit further, considering adding the vent holes in the bottom of the frame between the end and 2nd barrel bushings, mentioned here;

Hawke Varmint 4-16×44 sidefocus showed up today as did the Phillips Pellet holders made for the Talon-P tank.
Swapped in the TT Quick Change Top Hat, (no inserts), mounted and leveled the scope, Power Wheel set on 6, set up the Chrony, plugged the tank in the quick fill and left it connected for a steady 2900 PSI, shooting .25″ JSB Kings at 995 fps! 😯 Backed the PW down to 2, 980 FPS, still little higher than I was originally wanting but after sighting it in at 50 yards may just leave it. First 4 shots were approx 1″ center to center, much tighter than I expected considering how fast the JSB Kings are traveling, how I had it setting in the rest, and how much this thing jumps from the shot cycle along with my not being used to that. I have no doubt it will be shooting quarter or smaller size groups at 50 yards once I get the MadDog Ultima stock and bi-Pod on it and get some some trigger time to get used its shot cycle and find its preferred pellet, have the SS .25″ pellet sampler on the bench. :mrgreen:

Huge thank you to David Phillips for building the pellet holders for the Talon-P tank, they fit perfect, one is a dual thickness holder for carrying 8 JSB kings and 8 PolyMags or other long pellet. :8:

Anyone interested in the Phillips Pellet holder for any of your guns including the small Talon-P tank or with dual thicknesses on the same holder you can order direct from the manufacture, contact David via E-mail first from his web sight, http://www.pelletholder.com, specify for the 2″ diameter Talon-P tank, then you just place the order from the web sight after he gets back to you for the T2225 and he’ll make and ship it out right away.

i love mine!

i put a larger 22ci tank and a long R&L shroud on it, its so quiet now i can shoot it in the house if i want to :8:

mine loves H&N baracudas,testing them yesterday i shot a group at 70yds i could cover with a nickle :7: :8:

but with the jsb kings it would shoot about 3/4″ groups at 50yds.

the baracudas arent nearly as tight to load as the kings,i imagine thats why the cudas shoot better.

Post a review with pics and some 50 yard groups when you can.
I am considering a TP myself.

Put it away till the shroud arrives, (to loud to shoot around here), will post more indepth review at that time.

Though today was shooting walnuts today at various ranges out to 80 yards, mostly at 50yrds with the .22″ AA S510, rested, 20 walnuts in a row would only miss 2, got both on follow up. Father brought up his .25″ M-rod, amazingly accurate with Predator Polymags at 40 yards, 10 shot groups covered 100% with a quarter, almost nickel.

My 9 year old daughter was popping walnuts at 20 yards with our Crossman 1760, over 95% hit rate, popped one at 40 yards first try as well.
