Talon P as a carbine

m’kay… I know what you guys think of the TalonP as a pistol. I don’t disagree. I don’t compete, pistols or otherwise, so I can’t think of a scenario where I’d want a pistol and I wouldn’t use one of my sidearms. However, I can think of (create?) a few reasons that I would like a .25 cal carbine. Beside that I know you guys are dying to talk more about the Talon P.

I have my .22 TTT, now a carbine. Perfect for starlings to crows, and tree rats, one shot, no need for follow up. For larger, more wearable pests (think hats) I’d rather have a bit more FPE just in case an ounce of “humane” sneaks up on me or I wing my target on accident (I make no claims to greatness).

My TTT is probably capable of pushing lethal .25s but is not optimized for such having been birthed at .22. So switching barrels and getting re-pimped by the master is time and expense that needs to be considered. This has lead me to the idea of adding a Talon P to the safe. To suit my needs it would/could amount to somewhere around $800 and look something like this:

I recall seeing a question once posted about cutting that trailing edge off of the scope rail but don’t recall the responses, if any, nor can I find it in my searches. Other than scope eye relief considerations is there any other reason that this is a bad idea? I don’t see anyone else doing it so I assume there must be a reason. Frame stiffness?
