I like that the P Rod is a repeater and from the moment I saw it, I considered it a carbine…the Crosman stock belongs on it. If I had a magic wand, I would figure out how to cobble the AF tank on to it giving it a double reservoir like some of the FX guns have. Of course a LW barrel would complete the ensemble.
I think that the TSS is the perfect carbine platform to start with. They should take a lesson from our fearless leader and use a 16″ barrell with an appropriate legnth shroud. For that matter, they could offer a factory shroud for the Condor and Talon. Just a thought.
It’s kind of a wild goose chase trying to make an air pistol with power. The very physics of what it takes to make a powerful air pistol dictates a size that leaves the pistol catagory. Sure, the LD is a great pistol, but it is not powerful when compared to airgun carbines and rifles.
Realistically its not a pistol but then again the P-ROD ain’t small either. I think AF has given us a new tank and a compact rifle with a couple of clicks of a mouse and a credit card.
I wonder how quiet it will be? it looks like there’s very little room between the barrel and end-cap with a 12″ barrel.
Maybe I’m just disappointed with AF. That “pistol” isn’t doing anything for me. There are many modifications that we are making to their guns that they should do at the factory…for example, vented front bushings, baffles in the TSS.
I think you are cute as well Steve just so you know 😀
I think AF is just trying to stay alive and capitalize and make a living without putting their company out of business. It seems a lot of guys are looking forward in getting it.
Beside if they did everything for us the gun would be boring 😉

Gee Adam, I’m all giddy 😀 ,
