Q:

Talon SS .25 116 yd group

I guess I could have posted in the nightvision section but really wanted to show how my 12″ 25 cal can group on a good day (or night). This group was shot using a PS-22 with IR in total darkness. The scope is a Hawke 4.5-14 set on 5X. The target is a hanging 1/2″ steel plate 10″ in diameter at 116 yds. 116 yds as this just happened to be setup at the back of my pistol range.

This was with a 3100 fill using a Condor stock tank and valve. PW set at 8 and using bipod. JSB Kings at around 885 fps. I get about 15 good shots before I need to top-off air.

What do you think?

I think that’s pretty good and will actually improve as you practice, and make modifications to your gun. I’m always impressed with how well a 12″ barrel can do.

Thanks all…at 60 yds (zero) it will put about 15 shots at this power level in an inch, but at this range (116 yds) things begin to get squirrelly after 10 or so 😆

nice shooting lad 😉
them ps22 add ons are gen 2 arnt thay mate,,THER FUCKING GREAT BEST £1500 YOU COULD SPEND IMO

thay turn eny good scope into a night vision setup by simply putting it on the front..very good kit.

For that range and shootin in the dark, looks damn good to me. 🙂

I think it is good for I have never shot at even 100 yards yet, and all I know is the further the distance the harder it is to get a group. You do have a few shots right in the nut sack, so your definately sighted in.

Not much to tell. NV is a ATN PS22 G2+CGT. If you look closely ..there is a IR Laser mounted also. It was a pita to find the right mounts to line up the PS22 to the scope. There has been some problems poi moving with the PS22 and mine is off 1 moa elev but I just make the adj when I mount it. I will say my setup is constant in regards to this. The IR Laser is too much for general use (inside 100 yds) but its great beyond.

Tell me about that NV setup. It looks pretty cool

RC,

Its not the best group in the world (about 3+ inches), but those jsb’s are about maxed out for me at that range. BUT… a varmit doesn’t stand a chance at night 😆

PS: Be glad when Dan’s through with my Ranger.

I think that is great shooting with a very nice setup.
