born ready,
Pumping isn’t all that bad when you get a good technique going. It’s not a job for the back. It’s a good exercise for the legs and arms. At first you may feel like you will loose balance but try it this way…. Stand up straight and pull the pump handle up by bending your arms. As you start down bend at the knees as you straighten your arms. Your back will thank you ❗

I used to pump during commercials and sit to rest and watch TV until the next commercial. Don’t overdue it, maybe 25-50 strokes at most. Don’t hurry, the pumping gets harder as pressure builds and the pump can get overhearted and even be damaged by fast continuous pumping.

Oh hey, :tag:

Hi,

just in case: did you close the hose release valve?

Cheers
Chris

GKU I really appreciate your response.
Might be hard to believe, but my back’s messed up from my activity of yesterday. No more pumping for a day or two…
I’m gonna try to find a paintball shop andsee if they can fill my new tank and go from there.
Thanks again for your help.

I’d try and pump another +200 pumps to see if the needle starts to rise if filling from an empty bottle/tank.
If you are fill with the AF bottle fill adapter, check to see if it’s missing the large O-ring on the inside of this adapter ?

To check for leaks:
Make sure you close off the bleed value then hold the end of the pump hose close with your thumb and pump to see if the pressure builds.

If yes, I’d check the O-ring in the female quick disconnect, it maybe bad.
You can connect it to the gun and do a soapy water test while pumping to verify the leak.

If no, then do a soapy water test on the pump to check for leaks on all the hose joints.
If you still can’t find the leak it maybe the main pressures O-ring on the inside of the pump that is bad.
If it’s a new pump, I’d think of returning it and getting a replacement.
