i bought the right gun!(TALON SS) added 18 inch barrels and a “frame extender” though, the 12 inch just wasnt accurate enough for me past 45 yards. im glad i did it this way though, i like the ss’s shorter frame. i waited a loooooooooong time for mine and i was (and a year or so later, still am) excited as hell to show it off and shoot it. ive had 3 or four nice springers before….and spared no expence on my talon(i havent done any internal modifications YET!), since its the last airgun i ever indend to buy, and have sold and given away my springers. it is AMAZING!!! HAVE FUN…
TIP….i like to take plastic coffee cups and freeze them full of water, then shoot the big icecubes….they explode like fireworks!!!!
Shooting a whole can of pellets will get you into shape. Welcome the Kaz!!

CO2 source is pretty darn good… I was shooting R10 Match 7gn pistol pellets out to 20 yards. I’m sure you can find an equivalent in 22. CO2 with the stock SS end cap is very quiet – I doubt you’ll need a frame extender.
I now run HPA in two tanks, one at high pressure and one at target pressure (1400psi->900psi). I had toyed with the idea of running CO2 for target and HPA for pest elimination but caved and went over to the dark side 🙂
I appreciate the warm welcome! I’m a 22RF Benchrest shooter and acquired a FWB 300S so that I could practice in my backyard range. Prior to that my air gunning was an old FWB 124 used for pest control. You all know how things get started once one discovers the great world of Air Guns and great people. Soon I was playing with various air pistols/rifles all powered by spring or SSP. Then I tried one of Tims MAC1 LD CO2 guns as my first entire into gas. I really like the gas idea and have a CO2 bulk cylinder to fill my small tanks, and mostly warm weather to shoot. So, I ordered my Talon in CO2 for now. Perhaps I’ll explore a nitrogen upgrade in the future. I mostly punch paper, and have access to an indoor range for winter fun. Regards
