Talon SS trigger problem.

Things have been good up till now and you guessed it, I need help.
My trigger is moving in the right direction but the firing sequence does not occur. If I then tap the gun with my hand it will fire. I’ve looked everything over and cannot see the problem.
Here’s my setup.
Brand new sear parts except the actual trigger (original). Trigger mod done (properly as it has lasted for many months with no problems). Heavy hammer and original mainspring with no spacers. Safety taken out.
When I put the new trigger parts in I got about 200 shots before it started to happen again.
I’ll pull the trigger and feel the trigger go all the way through it’s cycle (very short from mod) but the other parts won’t go. It almost feels like a spring moves then, nothing.
Any suggestions?

WOK started out talking about hammers (which made sense to me), somewhow you’re both taking Bolt now???

What it means is some angle or tolerance has changed and is off with that aftermarket hammer.
Ok. I tried your suggestion WOK and sure enough, with the stock bolt it fires normally.
So……what does this mean? Did a trigger area spring wear out or something? I’m thinking #6 or #9. Keep in mind that the gun has seen approx. 450 shots since the heavier hammer was introduced. I’ve seen no signs of excessive wear on any trigger parts or “rounding” of parts’ edges either.

No luck.
Tried the overtravel take up and didn’t work. Still had a spongy trigger with no reaction in the gun.
Took it all apart, checked, cleaned it and put it back together and the result was one normal shot and then “spongy trigger no fire.”
Is it possible that the springs are worn??? (Trigger assy. that is.) I mean, I just can’t see anything else wrong.
Yeah it sounds like your overtravel adjustment is in too far.
Once the parts start to wear in, the trigger needs to move a little further to release.
I had this exact same thing happen to me not long ago when I bought new parts. 😉

If you have done the trigger over travel mod, back that set screw out a turn….
Complete tear down and inspection is required.
something is binding it up.

I’m glad you posted that picture WOK. It gave me something to look at while imagining the whole movement process.
I’m thinking I’ll have to figure this out slowly.
