x2, i think hydroing will stress the tank more than any of us could even with a full scba…

Well, then I learned something today. Our AF tanks do not ever require hydro testing. They have some kinda rule in the tank industry, and I believe if the tank is less than 2″ dia. then it does not get tested, that number may be 2.5″ or 3.5″.

Our tanks will never require a hydro, just like the internal tank on a Mrod, or any other gun never gets tested.

But its not a bad idea

I had a six or seven year old tank tested. My local dive shop sent it off. I believe they fill it to something like 9,000psi. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think they observe how the metal returns to normal after such expansion (stress cracks). I often wonder about this as I sit my face atop this tank before each shot. I mean, how many of us had 9,000 psi inside the tank on which you lay your face??? 😯

Any paintball place can send it off for hydro. You likely need to remove the AF valve before you get it tested. There’s FAQ about that..
