Q:

talon tank w/condor valve = hi-flo?

Hello-

Planning to buy a condor valve assembly just like this below:
http://www.talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21401

If I install that into my talon/standard tank, will my tank now becaome a hi-flo tank or I will also need the spring retainer?

thanks!

OK found why it’s leaking, the brass that hold the stem at where the derlin seat at the has little scratch that let the air go though. Derlin is still in perfect cond.

hmm gotta wait for a few mroe day to get the new brass.

OK, found that my spring retainer is not all the way in, so now it’s pushing valve/stem back all the way up.

Now with all new condor hi-flo valve kit/set, I am having leaky valve. When I finished refill, I hear hissing sound leaking and can feel it coming out from the stem. Open check the derlin, it’s still brand new with no damage at all.. confuse??

OK. now I know why it does not work and the springis not pushing up all the way.

I ordered 2 derlin, 1 for talon and 1 for condor.
1. The talon&condor derlin that I received from AF is shorter than the one that I have on my working talon tank(stock).
2. the condor brass insert ordered will only fit
tank FK0017385 03@09 all the way in and not on
tank FK001200 01@08

any suggestion? or call AF and get the correct/refund parts

I was trying to install the condor hiflo valve into my talon tank(non working from bad talon valve before), fill it up to 2k psi and when release the pressure knob all the air came out? After looking aaround I notice that the spring is not pushing back up or spring not long enought.

Or my spring retainer is not all the way in? I am like 1/6 in short.

I happen to be working on the very same mod…..Frapp’n top hat would not come off and I had to use an Easy out to get the left over out of the Top Hat.

I just posted: “What is the thread size of the Top Hat”

After looking at the factory threads in the Condor Top Hat, it appears I will need ~ 1/4″ out of the bottom of the top hat to make it meet the pre-measured .900 between the brass insert and bottom of the top hat.

Funny thing too…..as I was drilling out the bottom of the factory top hat…..a very thin O-ring ran up on my drill bit……..I did not know the Top Hats had an O-Ring in them…..O well……More Research!

.09—–.900 if possible would prob. suck your tank inside out 😯

U will need to port the hole in the spring retainer bigger and maybe change the spring so u can put a longer one in it.
