Q:

Talon Tunes 9" Barrel Shroud

I just received and installed Tony’s 9 inch barrel shroud. I have a Talon SS that originally came with a 12″ .17 cal barrel. I replaced the original barrel with a .22 cal 18″ barrel in order to get a little more stopping power. As configured I am getting 930fps with 16gr Predator Polymags. However, in the process I lost the reduction of the SS frame since the barrel extends beyond the frame. Since I had a 22cal NFA suppressor I installed that to reduce the noise. It helped but did not fully solve my problem with noise. After much reading about Tony’s Barrel Shrouds I decided to give it a try. The shroud is a first class piece of equipment that does a tremendous job in reducing noise. I initially asked for the 6″ shroud but Tony recommended I get the 9″ because of the 18″ barrel. That was a good call on his part. The ultimate analysis came from my wife when she said that she could hear rifle fire before but no longer can.
super, super product!

Jolly,

I believe that you will find Tony’s barrel shroud very effective. It has a real impact on noise and does not appear to impact point of impact.

I just want something stronger than the stock one that gives more consistency.

Years ago I had Tony make me a custom 16″ barrel and 9″ shroud for my Talon SS and have been happy ever since. It gives me the power I am looking for and the stealth at the same time.

That is right no noise from the pellet. only thing i hear on my condor is the hammer.

Nice!

Tony makes a fine LDC!!! 😉 😀
