Q:

Tank, Hose, Gauge, Fittings, adapters Compressed Air

This is what you need for filling from High Pressure Air 4500psi tank.

A 4500psi tank. Stainless steel adapter with gauge that screws to tank. A male to male adapter that allows filling from paintball shop. Airforce adapter with male foster.

With this type of set up you can fill all your airguns with a simple change of adapter.

WOK,
Thanks for removing those wrong McMaster-Carr part numbers. I didn’t want to mislead any members. Here is the picture for what I got from Tim and Joe Brancato.

Tim’s is $15 + Tax (don’t know how much Tim charges for shipping). Joe’s is $29 including S&H.

btw do not use brass too soft for more than 2000psi
most welcome

Shadow, my mistake! I saw teh 1/4″npt and jumped to the conclusion that this was the next larger series. The ‘quick connect’ is indeed 1/4″ as shown in your pic here.
Sorry about the confusion. 🙂
These will indeed do the job and no need for a coupling of suspect pedigree.
Cheers,
Walter……

While these are the correct style the ones you need are called 1/8″ and these are 1/4″ so unfortunately do not fit the bill.

Okay, so where should I measure this 1/8″? I have an adapter that goes onto the AirForce Fill Probe, the black thing that connects to the tank, I know for sure that the male QD end of this adapter fits the female QD in a paintball shop. I can’t find anything on this adapter that reads 1/8″. Here is the picture:

Thanks again for the help.

I think if I connect these two male and female connectors together as one piece, I could take it to a paintball shop for filling up a 4500 psi tank.

😀

I did check McMaster Carr online but didn’t know exactly what to search for. Thank you so much for your help.

Here is what you want at Macmaster Carr

48805K72
Precision Threaded Type 316 SS Pipe Fitting 1/8″ X 1/8″ Pipe Sz, Female Hex Coupling, 6400 PSI
In stock at $9.02 Each

Shadow,
those fittings in the last post are air tool couplers good for like 200psi.

😀

Walt,

I got it from MAC1 and it is his standard set up. It is really stout. But I am hoping Tim knows what he is doing 😀

Good post Adam.

I have a concern with your 1/8″ coupler as it is not likely a 6,000psi rated fitting as would be required for 4500psi service.
Those Brass couplers are for grease fittings and air brakes and not much more. Definitely not rec’d for HP air systems.

Cheers
Walter….

That is the standard size they use for paintball.

WOK,
What’s size for that male-to-male quick-disconnect adapter you show in the picture? If I take my CF tank to any paintball shop that can fill 4500 psi air, can I be reasonably optimistic that they all have the same type of female quick-disconnect connector on their end? Thanks.
