Tank lengths
Been using the CO2 adapter/ tank for the past couple of years. Decided to finally upgrade my Talon SS to air and a Altaros regulator. Can’t decide between between the standard length tank or to go with the Talon P. I never did like the length of the adapter / tank and that’s why I was thinking of going with the Talon P tank. Any info or advice would be appreciated.

You can get a valve directly from Airforce. The Build I did has a hi-flo, but Dyotat has standard valve on his jds reg. (standard = talon valve?) Im going to try a talon valve later on. It may prove better on the Altaros as well.
Do not order a TalonP valve it has 5/8 threads and will not work with the Altaros reg.
email Michal Jecny at Altaros with what you want to do and he will send you the right reg.
Where can I buy an Airforce talon value? I want to do a set up much like yours with a Altaros regulator and 13ci paintball tank.

Got the reg set up .
I did 3 shot strings. 1 is with reg on its lowest setting, 2 is mid range, 3 is high as it would go.
Set up is: Tss with Talonp tank, 18” TJ .25 barrel, and Altaros reg, hi-flo valve with directflo valve seat.
1st string- Reg on lowest setting. Start fill was 2900psi, fps started dropping off at 1400 psi.

A longer barrel and or bigger prechamber should get it barking around 900 with a decent shot count.

What is the barrel length?
A stock valve is all you need. My .25 run a stock valve and shoots 940 fps on 1800 psi. 0 PW also.
The reg arrived today. Everything looks good.
Im scrounging for parts to build another hiflo valve so I can empty as much of that little air chamber as possible between shots.
I have a 13ci talonp tank and another paintball tank I’ll try with it.
When I get some trigger time I”ll post some numbers.

1800 psi is 125 bar. regulator scale is 100-150 bar. you change presssure any time http://www.altaros.cz/regulators/ ” setting pressure on regulator”
I have an altaros reg on a talon SS. The male and female threads on the reg are 18 x 1.5 as it just couples between the valve and the bottle.
I have used a 400 cc bottle from Best-fittings. uk. to maintain the LOP.
Don’t know if altaros does a reg for the talon P tank setup?
I could be wrong about that. I’ll know for sure in a week or two.
Didn’t know he made them for paint ball tank thread. Thought it was AF only
The Altros reg with the talonp tank together should work, or at least I hope it does.
I have a Altros reg on the way with the same thing in mind.
If I understood the Altros guy right the male end of reg is 5/8 and the female 18×1.5, so the talonp tank should work, but the talonp valve would not. you need an standard AF valve for the other end.

I just use a stock condor valve.
The size of my chamber is 2″ OD × 1.2″ on the .25. It slides over the etac where I slot it out then weld the ends to hold and seal it.
