Q:

Tank Valve Adjust.

My talon Tank has “play” left in it; So I’m gonna adjust it out a smidge, so when the hammer hits it, it’ll tap more out each time. Less shots Vs. more power per shot. You say ” yaa”. How so? Yep. ➡

Like Eddie said, let it harden. There is an O-Ring inside the Top Hat and you don’t want any locktite blowing back onto the O-Ring as it could harden or maybe begin to deteriorate.

I don’t use the set screws any more just not enough on the stem to do what you need to do I keep them in for adjusting top hat just snug them up keep shooting and setting until you get things where you want them then use feeler guage to check you gap between bottom of top hat and air bottle take out the set screws turn top hat all the way down against air bottle clean threads exposed any solvent will work on a rag put a dab of locktite on the threads back it out set it with feeler guage then let it sit for a few hrs done deal don’t need set screws Blue loctite will work I use red oh my GOD 😳 yes you can this is up to you red is considered permanent but just like the blue if you want to move the top hat again for what ever reason take the bottle off use a lighter heat up the top hat and with a Talon bottle take it off with a Condor high flow valve turn it back down towards the bottle clean thing up with a small wire bursh and all is good!!

Don’t have to worry about damaging the stem on mine…cheapp -ass screws stripped out so easily no way I could get ’em to even hold the TH securelyy, much less tighten enough to hurt the stem 😈 😈

Hangin about a 10 or so, good to hear you are still on the forum and still have your gun.

I recently received my gun back from Air Force, and never mensioning “this problem\concern to them it’s fixed! I can’t imagine how or what; but it doesn’t have the minute wobble anymore.. ➡

P.S. Hve not been around here for awhile; what’s up with you all locals to this forum? How been doin?

Follow WOK’s suggestion. Insert the shaft of a drill bit the same size as the id of the stem before tightening the set screws. It will prevent crushing the stem. 😉

Damn. WishI had thought of that way back when! 😥

Mike

You need to tighten down the set screws holding the TP to the stem?? Loctite them once you have it set just right… Try not to crush the stem… 😮 😆
