Q:

Technical comparison of Veteran 22 and 25 – need info

I am looking for the technical differences between the new Veterans in .22 and .25 cal. I am considering using one of the platforms to either customize into a .30 or a .22 shooting the 34g JSBs.

I am curious if there is a difference in areas such as regulated air chamber capacity, internal porting, hammer spring, magazine depth (for longer pellets) and any other known differences. Maybe most of these are the same but I can’t seem to find much info on it. I will be using standard length and assume (correct me if I am an ass on this one :winkn: ) that short and standard lengths only change the air capacity and barrel/stock length.

Thanks for any input on this!

I would get hold of Dman or Earnest both can tell you what you can do with the guns..
I myself want a 177 shorty ,
For me it would be the perfect set up.
177 shorty
22 shorty
25 shorty
The perfect set up…

How much fpe are you after? 🙄
Ernest did a 30. shorty it was getting 50fpe I think.
But I could be wrong.

The new 25. shorty’s are pushing that much fpe almost. With heavy pellets they do 50fpe
The new mags can handle slugs. I was able too get 54 gr slugs in a 25. Veteran mags.
They were not too long.

Guys are getting 60 fpe with the 25. standards.
But they were too tight in the bore too load. They needed to be re-sized.
