Regarding the H-bird cut it behind the pistol grip Dirty Harry style, shrink the tank some and make a detachable maybe foldable buttstock al à Crossman 1377 then I’m up for one… 😉

Dr.

I think the HB is still worth it imo. I saw another pic where it has a matte silver finish with a black composite stock…not my preference but it may appeal to some. But what I especially like is the price…. $1100-$1200! I think the production model is larger than the original design….maybe they decided that the original air reservoir would only give so many shots that it would hamper sales? I told my wife no more airguns for 2014 but I might have to convince her that the HB will be for my daughter; )

Yup and Ted made it sound like the 29″ is the only option on the BIrd. Compact Cricket it is. 😀

That Nite Site is looking promising. Hawke did a great show as well.

The all new !!! ” Kalibur Turkey Vulture ” instead of the Hummingbird is more appropriate. The rifle is the only thing they make longer than the Hummingbird. I guess we put too much stock in the name.

Holy Mama!
Now when i look the H-Bird in Ted´s photo´s it looks horrible. Not as Fugly as the BobCat but not far from it – ugly. I need to see one in person before i place any orders – or maybe it´s better to invest in the tried & true Cricket Compact .177. Brrrr … Now i can´t get the sight of that Flummybird off my mind … 😯 Maybe they hired the same madman who designed the BC ?? Oh, the horror .. 🙁

The damned H-Bird should´ve been named “The Cricket” due it´s close resemblance of the Cricket bat – that weird British game ,you know.

Ted done a nice little write up there. I was disappointed in two thinks, I was just sure that Vortex would give us airgun guys that reticle Ted made a point of telling them how good it would be for our needs and it was surprising to find out the Hummingbird was 29″ long, I guess I was expecting sub Compact cricket size. I think I still want the compact some day. 😕

Wow, I had to EDIT : my post, the Hummingbird is more like a turkey vulture at 29″ I had originally thought it said 27″ which is the same at the Cricket Std.
