Teflon for breech tube
I have been reading here where it is recommended to lube the inside of the frame near the breech. At first thought it seems to me that silicon might add drag to the hammer owing to it’s viscosity. I thought about using Finish Line Dry Teflon Lube. They make Kryotech Wax Lube. When I use it on my bike chain it immediately becomes smoother and quieter. I’m thinking that an application to the hammer and inside tube bore might really lower friction.
Has anyone tried this? Is it ok to try?

I get it Lowes Home Improvement Center. Not sure where you are located or if you even have Lowes in your area. Check major hardware stores. I really DO like the way it works.
What is a typical source for the DuPont Teflon in a bottle?
I use this stuff. Works really well and lasts a long time. I just squirt it over my hammer, hammer weight and spring and let the liquid evaporate out of it (about a minute). I also coat the inside of my frame with it where all of these pieces make contact. I coat the frame by soaking a shotgun swab in the lube and applying it to the frame.

Wildfire, I decided to go with the Finish Line Teflon. Comparing the two, the Finish Line is like a thin Teflon slurry or paste. So it looks like it has a lot more Teflon in it. I used your shotgun swab (great ) idea and coated the inside of the tube where it matters, and the hammer. Then I wiped off the excess. It dries very smooth and invisible. Cocking feels smoother. While I was inside I still noticed leading in the muzzle area of the barrel and cleaned that out. Everything back together, re-zeroed and 15 or so pellets to condition the barrel and I was shooting some of the best groups since I bought the rifle. I need to figure out how to post images to show targets. I read the sticky on image posting but not sure I get it. 😳
