Temporarty cancelation of trip to UAE, Kuwait and Lebanon.
I am putting that here, as this forum is most read by EDgun owners all over the world.
I planned to visit my Kuwait’s dealer Azeez, my Lebanon’s dealer Ali and my friends in UAE in November of this year. Unfortunafely I am not allow leave Russia for a while due to the criminal case, that was opened against me more then a year ago. The case based ONLY on my words in Internet forum, nothing else. Yes, Russia is a totalitarian State with no freedom of speech, that is true. Anyhow I am fighting that and hope to solve everything within couple of months and will come to those countries anyhow.
I have to underline, I am going to my dealers first, but will meet all people who wants to talk to me with pleasure!

My wife’s family is from Russia and they despise alcohol. I’m going to so her your post and suggest that in order to support your fight for justice I need to buy 2 more Edguns! :8:

So, as many of you know I am against alcohol, as I consider it as a distractive habit for human being (surprise for those who consider Russians as “born with bottle of vodka”). Especially I am against the cases when alcohol is sold to teenagers. We have some Muslims living in my town. They are from former Soviet Republics Tadzhikstan and Azerbaijan, they came to us about 20 years ago, and still their Russian language is terrible! They have shops here and sell alcohol in their shops as well. And sell it to teenagers also. I did few attempts to make video how teenagers can easily buy alcohol and cigarettes in their shops. They did it successfully. With video evidence and my statement I went to the local prosecutor’s office and they accept my claim and punished those Muslims. They were very angry with me and began to say that I am against them because they are not Russians but Muslims. I told that the only thing they have to do, stop selling alcohol and cigarettes to teenagers.
Then they tried to catch me with the prosecutor, saying that I am extremist because I follow them and make their reputation bad. The prosecutor told that they just should stop selling alcohol to teenagers. Then they went to the police with the same claim, they were told that they have to stop selling alc to kids and that’s it. Then they went to FSB (that is former KGB). I have no idea why but they found there full understanding and FSB found in one of Internet forums my text about Muslims and that I don’t like when they come to us with their rules of life, totally ignoring our rules of life and even don’t want to behave themselves in a way we used to. They consider it as extremism. So I became and crime suspect in making extremism claims based on the hate of other nations. They investigate it almost a year. There were four volumes of the crime report, more then 1000 pages. The court last almost two months and I was found guilty! They told I have to pay 200 000 roubles (a little more then USD 5 000) of fine (in fact maximum punishment I could carry for that was three year in prison).
I didn’t agree and now make the appeal to the hight court. I have no hope that my appeal will work but I have to do it, as I have to fight to the end.
So, vaue the irony of the situation, Russian man (who supposed to love drinking) is fighting against the selling alcohol to kids by Muslims (not born in Russia) who supposed to be against alcohol according the their religion and the State take their side, punishing me on the ridiculous pretext!!!

My great uncle was right ! There’s not much difference between Russia and USA. Same kind of things go on here. You dislike or disagree with someone different than you, you’ll be labeled extremist ,racist , or intolerant.

It is really shocking to me and i hope that you could overcome this unfair situation. I have been around the world and I have been to Minsk during USSR era. Great people (educated, one good manners) with really strong grip from the goverment on everything. I personally support what you did mainly because you took an action for what you believe. Unfortunately, the faith systems of Muslims does not allow alcohol at all yet they are selling it, viloating the faith system rules, and selling it to teens violating the law.
It there is anything i could do to help, please let me know.
Oh, yes! That is what I meant. I told the judge that I have nothing against Muslims (my father’s line is Muslims) I am just against of those who came here and don’t care about our rules of life, I told also that I have friends in Muslims countries and work with them and talk with them and don’t care of what God they believe as it doesn’t influence my life and we just enjoy our communication. He doesn’t care about it. In the court verdict he says that I hate Muslims (probably my hate is the reason why I don’t want them to sell alcohol and tobaco to our kids).
More funny thing, I installed such a billboard in my town:

Think about yourself, your family, your country and about your life in your country being sober.
So, quit soon I got a visit by a policeman from the extremism department and he claimed me to take off that bilboard, as, according to his words “saying Russian in Russia is extremism!” It seems to me they prefer to see us drunk and unable to think what is going on in our own country. How do you like it?!

Ironic indeed! May be Russia should apply the Sharia law specific on these Muslim alcohol sellers and problem solved!
I too do not drink or smoke for rational reasons so I sympathize with your cause and what it put you through! Not sure what’s wrong with your KGB!
Oh, and add to irony that now you are prevented by Russia from visiting your friends in Muslim countries because you are anti-Muslim 🙂

I know your joking but some of what you said is spot on, A friend of mine in NZ just got a visit from two suits for speaking his mind about Obama on the forum! They wanted to make sure he wasnt a “Threat” for his recent visit to NZ.. 😯

While we can’t be prosecuted for what we say here, we are still monitored by the NSA. Countless man hours are spent analyzing hoots drunken ramblings everyday.
At the end of the Second World War my uncles Sherman tank was hit by a panzer tank. A unit of Russian t-34 tanks happened by and took him back safely to there lines. While I don’t always agree with your government, I’m not going to say anything against them because I wouldn’t have as big of a family if it wasnt for them and because honestly they are no better or worse than any other goverment that people around the world must deal with. I’m 100% behind you on this, hang in there and best of luck!
