Can’t beat this BSA Sportsman if you are thinking Ultra….I just sold
one that would shoot one hole groups at 65yds @ over 1,000fps with
JSB 15.9gr

Or these Scorpion T10 bullbarrel if they are still for sale

Retail on these is on sale $900.00 plus shipping…

I have the scorpion bull barrel rifle and man that thing is as quiet as they come and I regularly shoot 1/2″ to 1″ groups at fifty yards with it with Jsb jumbo heavies. Great air rifle!

I’m kind of partial to the Scorp myself.

Pest control under 50 yards….. I’d have to say Ultra in .22.

I have an LW8 Falcon that shoots .22 at 12fpe and squirrels are not safe at 50 yards. The Ultra will have substantially more kick at 18fpe to reach out to the 50 yard mark with ease. Yes, you’ll have a bit loopier trajectory than you would with a 19fpe .177…. but thats not a problem.

It’s your call, of course…. but I think the Ultra is the cats ass for pest control. Small, quiet, and handy….

I dont know…. what do you intend to do with it? I love the Ultra… I dont find cocking it to be cumbersome, but thats just me. 12fpe in .177 and 18fpe in .22. Handles like a dream; is quiet and accurate.

I have a Hornet, which is the same as the Scorpion except with the same cocking as the Ultra. For the size, I dont feel I get as many shots as I should out of it… but it’s very quiet, powerful, and accurate.

For a hunting gun up to 70 yards, I’d choose the Scorpion. For an all around pest gun, I’d choose the Ultra.

Cocking the Ultra is an Ultra pain in the azzz….Get the scorpion…

i think the ultras are 12 ftlb guns…..—ive pondered over a Scorpion myself…..get the Scorpion…..
