Like every scope question the answer is always “it depends”

I have the Airmax 3-12×44 with the SR6 reticle on my .177 Stealth.

The aim points on the scope are fantastic for its intended use as a Hunter field Target gun but remember the reticle was designed around shooting at the legal limit in the UK, 12 foot pounds Energy.

You can do a lot of modelling without having to shoot a pellet if you download the excellent Chairgun Pro from Hawke’s website http://www.hawkeoptics.com/chairgun/index.php

If you put in the scope height, pellet you use etc then you can play about with different power levels and see how the trajectory lines up with the aim points on the ret.
