Testing EDgun Matador .22: Speed vs Accuracy

I tested my EDgun Matador R3M .22 Standard seeking to find v0 that produces the best accuracy with the JSB Heavy (18.13 grains).

All precision tests were made 60 meters (distance available at the club) using the support of a couple of Caldwell sandbags and Hawke Sidewinder Tactical 6,5-20×42 scope (using the zoom at 20x).

The leads were not weighty or standardized. They were selected from the can only visually, discarding those with noticeable wrinkles.

There are 6 varieties of v0. For each tested v0, I made about 5 or 6 groups to check the accuracy. Photos are of the 2 best groups in each tested v0.

For each v0 I also did a series of 10 shots before and after the groups because after making the first group (Group A) I realized that the speed varies after the adjustment.

Here are the results:

According to the results we see the Group F was the best. The difference may not seem very large, but here only show the two best groups of each v0. While in the other groups the best accuracy was 18mm, in Group F average precision was 18mm and their best group was 15mm.

My question is: what is the default precision of Matador .22 to 60 meters?
It is worth continuing varying v0 seeking better accuracy or that is the limit of it (considering I do not have selected leads and the support is not the best)?

885 fps works great for small game. I use 25 for bigger game or longer distances. The important thing is to get your shot string as flat as possible for consistent fps.
I hunt doves at 100 yds in up to 10mph winds no problem. I do miss occasionally as they are small bird but 8 neck shots out of 10 is normal at that distance on average.
I’ve shot over 150k pellets through my 22 so I know it well. Approximately 20k were for testing and tuning chrony strings and accuracy at speeds and distance

I don’t really photographed the other groups, only the two best. The test I’m still doing is underway. Unfortunately I don’t have 100-yard indoor range available and the shooting club has only 60 meters.
I will test the accuracy the 100Y in open field, but certainly I will only take the tests in one day with virtually no wind (it’s the best I can do).

My question is about 885fps interference from wind in the open field (real situation of long range hunting).
It is ok for you?

I’ve got long version so my adjustment will be different than standard barrel version.
It’s approximately 1/4 turn in from stock 130 bar setting on my regulator.
You’ll have to fine tune Hammer spring to get flattest curve from top of fill at 205bar until it drops off regulator.
Make very small adjustments to regulator after that to get target speed.

Environment surrounded by walls on the sides, but with presence of moderate wind.
If you do 13mm to 45.7 meters (50 yards), I believe that 15mm to 60 meters is a good result. Not the best, but a good result.
I have not tested this speed over long distances to check the stability, but I think the LW barrel maintain stability in this v0 with the JSB Heavy.
I’ll try, and if it is not stable, I reduce speed and do new tests.

Thank you all. I try to make new shot group with the lowest zoom to see if will improve. I’m doing these tests and learning a lot about the gun, but almost none of my friends with Edgun did. I’m trying to find the speed that produces the best possible accuracy because the weapon was designed to facilitate this change. I am open to any suggestion. I’m with Edgun there are only 2 or 3 months and want to extract the most of it.

From that distance, use the smaller zoom, something between 8-12x.
I think groups are starting to become better. In general, high magnifications are used to identify the object. Good training moments.
