Testing my valve….Saw my combro fly….
Today I wanted to test my modified micrometer valve. Gunpower Stealth – .177 – Baracuda 10,69 grain – TH at 0.8. Put my combro on the bean can.
1: 925 ft/s = 20,2 lbs
2: 929 ft/s = 20,4 lbs
3: 925 ft/s = 20,2 lbs
4: TANK DUMP = 😯 😯 😯 😯
The lid flew from my bean can getting my combro with him. Would probably not travel alone.
Good news: the combro still works and I always wanted to get the lid off. 😆 😆
Bad one : I have to look after a stronger valve spring or have to tinker with the spacers….
What’s your opinion?

Think i have solved the problem. Put a M4 nut in my retainer to get more preload on the valve spring. 40 shots with no dump. Anyone know where i can get a stronger valve spring? Because this is only a transitional solution i think.

How many spacers have you used? At the moment i have 5 in my stealth. In my valve the spring retainer nut isn’t adjustable. You only screw it in. See my pics in the general section: Valve Question.

I had a similar problem Uwe but the end on my can still wouldn’t come off! I was running a string over the combro then the tank just dumped! Brown trouser moment 😆 It happend another couple of times untill I added the spacer back and tightend the valve spring retainer slightly. I’m still wondering If I should take that spacer out to try or not as I didn’t notice any decrese In power but don’t want the tank to dump again 😆

They are adjustable. Mine Is similar and I don’t have It screwed home all the way. As for spacers….. I don’t know. I have 1 of drums plus the spring centraliser spacer plus a home made jobbie which I havn’t measuerd.
There’s a kit on ebay UK that has a tighter valve spring In It, May be worth asking the guy where he got It from ir try Drum.
I spoke too soon about my tank being fixed…… Got another dump today but think I know why. The pellet seemed to fall out of the barrel a touch so need to pump up again now 😆
