The valve I used in that Video was done by Doug Noble and also made a complete valve with larger internals to pass even more air. This powerful valve at 3900 psi experienced a problem. Bent one stem and broke a 2nd stem. Plus these stems were larger diam than stock. Doug is making them just a little larger diam and maybe a stronger steel but the damaged ones were 115,000 lbs tensile as it was…….Doug is one who makes and sells valves for the .257 which I set distance records to 1108 yds with. When we get the right combo to take 4500 psi at the extreme loads it places on internals we will make over 800 fpe with a .45 caliber airgun and have not read of any .45 worldwide that has achieved that on compressed air………..As of now Doug has NOT decided if he will modify existing stock valve or MAKE complete valves for sale……If my testing works as we expect it is his choice to make it for sale…..He has a full time career not machinist related and family and other interests so if he decides to make them it will be known……..

Yes it will work at lessor pressures………….Shot 185 gr at 2800 psi and 143 gr RB too…..

Great shooting! I am assuming you are using the 4500 psi. upgrade. What pressure were you tethered at and what type of round ( who makes them, weight, design etc.) :5: were you using?

You assume wrong. I use a STOCK VALVE that has been modified to pass more air. In fact I did have an AAO valve and springs. It didn’t pass as much air at 4000 psi that mine does at 3700 psi as fps was 25 LESS. Any more psi and didn’t open valve fully as started FPS going backwards. I don’t have the AAO valve anymore …….The AAO valve top hat and part forward of seal that fed air OUT were the SAME dimensions as stock valve. The numbers advertised did not compute and I suspect the chrono as NOT ACCURATE as I threw 2 CHRONY Beta Masters away after about a year each as they started reading 100 fps faster than correct. Also the chronograph has to be at the SAME angle as barrel or readings ARE NOT CORRECT…….

My newest valve passes so much air I haven’t shot it beyond 3900 psi and at that level made 753 fpe with a 412 gr …..At 3900 have Bent one valve stem and BROKE another. They are being made larger at this time to get to 4500 psi. That is from a complete rebuild or NEW Valve….

What I shot video with was the stock valve modified, 3500 psi, using a Saeco 375 gr I cast with and drops for me around 384 grains. At 875 fps that is 653 fpe at 3500 psi …..I have 14 .457 molds and cast my own and size them. Bullet shot in video is 3rd from RIGHT in pic not counting .22 LR Cartridge. 2nd from Right is the Saeco 410 and next to LEE 500 grain.

Who is making the Valve, sounds like something I may be interested in. Can it still be used at 3000 psi?
