Texan owners, what power are your Texans really making
The ones I’ve messed with don’t really make the power they say they do. Don’t get me wrong, they are powerful , but what are yalls guns doing?

Mine will give 3 good shots around 980 ave fps with 166gn bullets don’t remember what that worked out to in fpe. Most fpe ever for mine was 470 with 350 gn. Ive not put anything heavier in it but I know there are others who have gotten over the 500 fpe advertised with 400+ ammo. Took me a lot of time over the chrony to see how to dial down the power wheel for different weight ammo. Not at all like condor. Not to offend at all but if you’ve already figured all that out and still can’t do better I would send it back cause at least some will. Your lighter stuff sounds right on as should be but while the heavy stuff will slow down you should be able to adjust wheel to make fpe increase with weight. Again not to question anyone’s skill with the wheel just saying send it back. My only warning as far as fact vs advertisement is shot count. I don’t know how many shot I could get but I only count the number of shots that will group acceptably at the distance I shoot coyote and for me that is three shots with really only two being real close in fps.I have got the 166gn up to 1000 fps by the way but on that setting the next shot drops way down so I find a weight I like(light for me) then work the wheel till I find a setting that will give me three tight shots as far as fps spread and leave it there. Took some time and bullets. Hope this is useful to someonr
