Q:

That big wheel on the side of a scope

Well, Hello.
I’m new to the serious side of airgunning, so bear with me.
What the heck is that big wheel I see on the left hand side of a seriously scoped airgun in some of these pictures?
Does it hold pellets?
Is it some kind of rangefinding thing?
This is in addition to the windage and elevation knobs of the scope.
I’ve never seen anything like it.

Mimiograph Machine…
The copy machine was smelly, and the copys were usually OK, but sometimes smeared. The paper was white, the ink was purple blue, and thats how the tests were presented. I swear, the mimiograph room smelled so much like alcohol (I think the ink was dissolved in denatured alcohol) that I or any of the faculty couldn’t tell that my science teacher ( a little old lady) was hitting the sauce during class. They kicked her out.
That smell. That (not gasoline) denatured alcohol smell. It smells like …confinement.

And t make things more confusing, Paralax and fucus are two different things! 😉

well you can’t be that old you did not say ditto machine

Thanks, yelo1z06.
I’ll Google that term.
Wow, Google.
What other products have become verbs?
Xerox. “I’ll Xerox that for you”. Not a good example. You probably have never heard the term. It was one of the first copying machines.

Thanks again Ninja.
Guess I shouldn’t have asked a newbee question on April Fools day.
What brand of scope has this feature? It looks extremely useful.

Some scopes have a focus dial on the side instead of around the front lens. Those big wheels attach to those dials to give you a bigger area for marking ranges because each distance should have its own distinct position on the dial so the bigger the circumference the more accurate your range finding.

This april fools shit has run its course.

It changes the channel on your TV.
