Q:

The Compact and a new modell .25 in da House !

Got the package today. Two smoking new Crickets , the .177 Compact is made April 14 and the .25 WB April 17. That Compact is tiny indeed …
I also got my new CF shroud/silencer Combo, made by Nutshot in UK. Absolutely fabulous work. The shroud itself makes the .25 quieter and with the muffler on it´s a whisper. The attention to detail is second to none.
Tomorrow i´ll break in the Compact. Been cleaning the barrel (shitty as hell), attaching the rail for the Bipod and fiddling with the trigger almost three hours so haven´t had the time to make the .25 race ready yet – except that pesky task of cleaning the barrel on it. I don´t understand why KalibrGun uses so much goo (some kind of Wax) in these barrels. You could throw them in Ocean and recover them 5 years later and the bore would still be sparkling – after 35-40 patches to remove the wax the Ocean couldn´t. Talk about overkill …

What I end up doing I’d taking beech off and start cleaning with mop and jb paste. You never get it clean with just patches. After about 50 patches and cleaners on my 25 it was still a mess after that. The mop showed it in a hurry. You can then polish barrel as we discussed in previous thread

What screws are removed to slide off the breech? And did you have to degass when you removed the breech?

You just have to disconnect the trigger linkage.

unscrew the 2 larger breach screws one is at an angle that the other is straight. (the tiny one is for bleeding)

and NO degassing is not needed.
