Q:

the cricket will almost fit the Mutant stock

I was goofing around the other day and found out the Cricket 22 will almost fit the OEM Mutant shorty stock,
You would have to do a little wood working, Just saying because the OEM Mutant stock is super light,
I may give it a try if I get some free time,
When you are retired time goes by a lot faster.

It’s a good thing Russia doesn’t have patent laws.

Almost only counts in……
horseshoes and hand grenades.

Still not going to work, the air tube on the cricket is bigger.
Than the Taipan. :suprisedn:

People the key word is almost, and it was my 25 Cricket not my 22 Cricket, I could get a grinding wheel on my drimel tool and make it fit.
If I had the time just to set down and do some grinding I think it would work, Sine I am retired I will ask the wife if I can get some time off from lawn work and house work and see if I can do some grinding.
You know they make wild turkey in 101 proof now.

Sounds like someone’s hitting the Wild Turkey again! :biggrinn:

Guess it would look nice…. but that dam cricket stock shoulders like shit and the grip Sucks ass

Ya’ll talkin’ about messing with what God/nature intended. Ya’ll’s talkin’ ’bout things synonymous with splicing dna. 😛

It would be cool to see either or …… it would have a freak factor for sure.

I think that Elmer is right about the stocks. :biggrinn:
It would be kool, if it all button up right. :suprisedn:

Are you sure about that? The airtube for a Cricket is much fatter than that of a Mutant. You would have to inlet the stock for it to fit. Plus you would have to adjust the LOP as the trigger placement is not the same. The shape of the rail and clamps is also different. About the only thing that’s the same is the width of the breech however the Mutant one sits deeper into the stock.

I’m trying to get a Mutant into a Cricket stock. It’s a slightly easier conversion since I don’t have to inlet the stock but still need to do a bit of cutting for it to fit.
