I for one, am hoping for a way to get it all in as short a package as possible,,I have bought a straight E-Tac, and one with the drop/cant…had to sell them both (and lose a little money) simply because they made the “pull” too long 😥 😥 .and I REALLY would love to have an air pressure gauge with a regulator, on my TSS….I have a jds bottle and 1600psi reg on my HPA Crosman 2250 carbine and it is GREAT…would love the same set-up for the TalonSS.just my $0.02 worth.

One last thought on the E-TaC-T-REG. How about a design like the guys in Argentina were playing around with a few months ago? Drop down at a 60 to 70 degree angle for 3/4 to 1″ then straight back with the reg & bottle. This would create a substancial pre-chamber for the regulated air withought adding much length. Would also keep the straight lines of the gun. Just a thought you might take to the front porch with a couple of cold ones and mull over.
Good luck with the shroud idea, only adding 2” to overall length might change peoples mind about longer barrels..

WOK,

Yeah, I have been around since TOG times and am smart enough to know someone, somewhere has done “it” before. Hopefully my abilities will get someone the accessory they want.

I’m not claiming it as my idea, just want to make things people can use.

There is a LOT of volume to use there. The 12 and 18″ barrels will benefit the most as they will still be in the frame and get the most from that volume. It will take some coaxing to get the 24 to use the rifle-frame’s volume, but it will.

Jim

We had a member on the TOG that made some baffles milled out to the outside dimension of the front of the frame. He then mounted a shroud over the barrel and frame.

I tried to find the pictures in the gallery but could not find them.

It is a good idea

Hey! You better not be calling me French! I was just having a bit of friendly fun!

All thread hijacking aside…I hope the reduced length regulator project works out.

SS&SU,

Sorry, I didn’t answer earlier.

I have many drills, and can drill the endcap to fit your needs.

I am working on the 24″ barrel version and am pretty sure it will come all the way back to the power adjuster wheel like above, and about 2″ passed the barrel.

More on those numbers as I get to them.

Jim

Three inches is really long guys… I have people giving up their 2″ long E-TaCs cuz they are too long. Remember, this is the Talon and Condor tank not some pygmy PB tank.

The length of the E-TaCREG is just right with the 53ci tank I have. I’m getting the last of the tools I need for production and they should be ready to ship the beginning of next week if you have your own JDS Reg. Honestly they will fit on any JDS reg regardless of the pressure. However, some of the other maker’s reg pistons are different diameters and will leak and therefore cannot be used.

With all these double entendres Jerry, you sure you aint English??!!

And now I’m getting confused with all these e-tac-pac-sac-rack acronyms.

I just want a decent reg for my rifles dammit!!

I think Marmot is close to getting it done?

Or his dinner is ready or something…???

LMAO!!!
I re-read the entire thread trying to work out what you were refering to Jerry. I got there in the end.. 😳 😆

How rude.

What do you mean “can?”

thats some funny shit right there.

Ken

What do you mean “can?”

3 inches??
Dammit Marmot, I can live with that!!
Send me one now.. 😎 😆

The T-REG is quite a project. Much moreso than I first anticipated.

The length of the reg plus the chamber plus the valve have made it too long right now. (in the <gasp> three-inch range) A redesign and reengineer of the valve may be required. There is lots of wasted space in there…at least an inch for sure, probably more. It is ongoing and productive, just time consuming. I have to design, build, think, consult etc. So when I’m at an roadblock, I do something else, like the MegaMod.

Good news is the second generation of the E-TaCREG is in on the gun and working very well.

Regards,
Jim
