Q:

The next big thing in the AirForce world?

It seems that the tuning/modifying of AirForce rifles concentrates on one aspect at a time and then moves on to something else. In this way we have had everyone going crazy about Hammers, their designs, weights and materials, and we have also had nothing but discussion about valves and all of their nuances. At the moment everyone seems to be hung up on .25 but that’s more of a drop-in rather than a huge discussion about various methods to reach certain goals. So, where do we go from here? No valve is perfect and neither is any hammer, so do you think that we will go full-circle and start again with the knowledge we have gained down the years, or is another aspect of these rifles the “next big thing”?

I think it would be great to have tiny little hooks on the accessory rail so we could hang our kills on it, chipmunks, squirells, mice, rats and crows….

It would be kinda like a charm bracelet on our guns
😆

A reg would be nice but not necesery. My vote is for airforce going bigbore. They should offer a .25 and 9mm stock version. Stiffer frame and better Bottle ring with a neck so it stays put.

But what would really make airforce rifles worth their money is tight tolerances of the factory!!

All in al I like this concept a lot!

Marc

Hell, I’m still waiting “upcoming accessories” for the Accessory rail… has anyone seen anything that fits on this?

Dude, the pellet holder thing with a screw top… 😆

How about a better trigger/safety mechanism and a stiffer frame at the tank interface…

And of course the regulator! 😉

These are definitly the best 2 new ideas for these guns, regulated air would be my first choice, way more CONSISTANT shots per fill.. oh yes… with muti shot being a very close second. Of course, both would be outstanding. With so many other makers having clips, you’d think maybe at some point AF would come out with a multi shot model at some point, but who knows. [/i]

The thing with Airforce is they are making most everyting inhouse these days with their CNC machines. To get a regualtor set up for the tank they would need to have a professional design one for them.

Glenn Palmer from Palmer Prsuit Shop probably could develop one for them if they were willing to spend the money. He has made many thousands of regulators of different types and I bet AF could make some good money offering a reg as an after market accessory. I would by one!

I’m thinking that Airforce will likely continue with modular, easy to produce items… a regulator or a multishot adapter would be more money to produce….. but personally, I would love to see a regulator for our guns….would be well worth paying for IMO.

The funny thing about multishots is as soon as they come out people are clamoring and rushing to get single shot adapters for them.

A multishot would be nice but not necessary.

I’d rather have a multi shot over a regulator. Most other PCP companys have this available on their AGs. One shot one kill is a nice concept, but it doesn’t always work that way. Took a starling and 3 of his comrades hung around to see what was going on. Doves, pigeons are either too dumb or layed back to fly far when one is shot. So there is always the opportunity for a follow up on a 2nd or 3rd.

100, 150 shots on a fill is a good thing as well, why not both. As already mentioned MC posted pics of his design and Wok mentioned the Paintball regs. So we know this is already possible.

If we do see a multi shot from AF i think it would be on a new model. The configuration of the current trigger, hammer, brech assembly does not lend itself to this application well.

In tank reg +1

I WANT ONE

I thought the idea was “One shot, One kill.” not “20 shots, one kill.”

Mike would be way over 700-800 rats if he would have had multishot! 😀
(just a guess 😀 )

HEY YOU GET IT RIGHT ITS 836 AND COUNTING!…….LOL 😀 😀 😀

I’d pay GOOOOOD money for a MCMIKE regulator. With some fine tuning, that thing should blow thru a tin of pellets on a single fill.

This is so very true McMike was shooting like a few hundred shots on a single fill and stopped because he shot threw his pellet stop and damaged his car this regulator will revolutionize the airforce line of guns as well as the wealth of discussion we will get on this forum alone. I want one now. 😀

The only reason i could see multi shot being of any use is for pest extermination, where there are multiple targets in one area.

NOT ALL AIRGUNS ARE USED FOR HUNTING

Fun game: Who can hit an aluminum can the most times in xxxx seconds at xxxx yds?

Stuff like this demands multi-shot 😀 😀

and lots of fun.

So you are talking about a regulator that just screws onto the end of the tank? All you would need to do is buy a 4500 psi paintball tank, and fiddle with the regulator to get it to regulate to 2500 psi, instead of 900 psi for a paintball gun. Basically you need to find a very strong spring to go on the inside of the regulator. How hard could it be?

Sketch one up and you will then see what the trouble is. Harder, much harder than you think.

McMike is a genious and so far ahead of Airforce with respect to designing and building. His reg was and is an amazing creation. I hope he does very well with that design.
I have little interest in a multishot and I will be happily shooting while you multi fans are loading clips 🙂
So for me a reg is a great move but that would add a fair cost to the gun so may be a hard sell except as an aftermarket accessory.
The Airforce product would benefit by a stiffer frame, better head position and a real adjustable strong trigger.
Using a trirail to stiffen a weak gun, breaking triggers, safeties that don’t work, butts that suck, stuff like this should be addressed by the Airforce team.
Future of Airforce is pretty much stuck in the Talon/Condor lines.
Walter….
