The Official TalonTunes Nuthugger Thread
OK… so there it is. I’ll call myself a nuthugger of Tony and TalonTunes. I remember being one of his first customers when he started tuning and was amazed at the transformation of my gun after he laid hands on it.
The detractors will say that one can tune their own gun. Sure… they can. I have. Others have. But how many of us can say they’ve worked on as many guns as Tony? Surely that kind of experience lends itself to some perfection of technique.
I still recall the day I shot my Talon after Tony had worked on it. I was blown away at how smooth everything was… and a bit surprised at how crisp the trigger was. The gun was a beast. It’s not only the valve work, but everything he puts into the gun. At the time I had my Talon worked on, I also sent him the bottle of another gun for his magic… and while it was certainly better, it bore no resemblance to the fully tuned gun.
Fast forward to today… I have a .25 Condor with Tony bits… Tony tuned… and my Talon that he tuned. My other Talon has some bits from Tony as well.. most notably, the restrictive valve stem retainer that allows me many shots at a lower velocity while still remaining consistent.
… then there is the bling. Tony is the Talon Bling King for sure. Yes, there are cheaper options out there, but the best comes at a price and after having done some very minor work on a lathe and mill, I can now have a rudimentary appreciation for the work.
TalonTunes AAA Condor in .25… full tune, Tony barrel, vented bushings.. TT cocking knob, and the recently released TT Angled Tank adapter. I can go from 65fpe for pellets… now doing well with Benji Domes, to 115fpe using Jerry’s slugs.

Couple of groups I shot recently… not cherry picked, not the best out there… but enough to make me smile.

In comparison is a group I shot the same day with my Daystate Air Wolf… to show that this was simply not a great shooting day for me… so on that day, with all the coffee intake, my Condor was right up there with a $2300 Wolf…

…The only Air Force gun I own that Tony hasnt touched is the Edge… but I do have a WOK Butt on it…

….and speaking of WOK… yeah, I’ll nut hug here a bit, too. I remember when WOK made his WOK BUTT and I begged him to make me one… must have pleaded for a year before he finally did and started making them for sale. Easily one of the best upgrades out there. While one cant deny the popularity of the regular butt, my favorite is the strap on, as pictured on my Condor.
….group photo of the guns, minus the Edge…

….Thanks Tony and WOK for making these guns more enjoyable.
