The sear is chewing the hammer up!!
My Condor began to be more and more difficult to cock. At the half way point of cocking, I can feel a ‘catch’ that wasn’t there before. It has got to where I have to force it through this catch to fully cock. I tore into the gun and found that the sear has chewed up the hammer pretty bad (the plastic end of the hammer towards the rear). Is there a remedy? Thanks.

It wasn’t the sear that was scoring the hammer end caps. It was a burr of aluminum hanging at the end of the little slot that the breech knob rides in. A needle file remedied the situation. Back to smooth operation.
On a side note. I went ahead and cleaned the barrel real good. I use cotton patches and Breakfree CLP. There was ALOT of lead on the first couple of patches! I almost took a pic of it. I have only been shooting 18.1 gr JSB’s at an average of 930 fps! I have only shot around 200 pellets through the bore since it’s last thorough cleaning. And get this: the biggest concentration of accumulated was about a half inch forward of the breech where initial obturation of the pellet occurs. But this bore shoots very tight groups with a clean bore. And it was shooting pretty good while leaded up but accuracy was degrading fast.
