Q:

Theoben Eliminator!

Just ordered one in .22 from Steve at Pomona. He said it comes with a Vortex mod permanently attached – it’s gonna be a good looker. He also said that new Eliminators in .22 configuration come with a power level up to 30 fpe! I better get ready for my face to be slapped each time I pull that 1.5 lbs trigger… He said it can be always detuned. It will be here on Thursday-Friday of next week.
Now, I only have one problem: a scope. Some of you remember my posts about the ultimate scope for Patriots/Eliminators. There was a reason for that. Didn’t really get any answers because I know it all depends…I hear even Bushy 4200 Elites sometimes get blown into pieces, so… any thoughts?

Awesome!!

Got any pics of the pillow? 8)

I have a hella time trying to shoot my springer consistently from the bench. I always end up shooting seated and elbows to knees. Not bench accurate, but at least I can hit what I want.

This is preliminary 3 shot test with Beeman FTS at 30 yards.
Not bad at all. My goal is 1″ at 50 y.
Shot it off the bench with a gun rested on the pillow that I made specifically for spring/gas-ram shooting 😀

i had an eliminator .22 with a bushy trophy 4.12×40 on it….very very very nice springer…..i absolutely loved it…its so smooth, and the lock time is so fast…no twang…just blammo….took me 6 months to even begin to gruop well with it….but ended ups shooting 2″ goups standing at 50m with the thing….

power was never 30 fpe as advertised…it was 28 fpe with kodiaks….and when it was stolen 7 years later i was doing 26 fpe…never touched the ram or lubed it…and i must have shoot 5000+ pellets through it.

premiers did the best for me back then….no jsb available….premiers gave me best speed, terminal energy and accuracy

for me the kodiak pellet was too slow, premiers did the job every time

congrats on the new rifle, hope you will like it as much as i did…i would still have mine had it not been stolen….would get another one…but the prices over here dont justify one, in denmark i ordered one from the UK ….and it came to about 6500 kr……and rws 54 was 4500…but here in the states now ….a aa410 is 1k, and eliminator is 1.2k…and with money invested in tanks and all…ill stay pcp.

Just finished the first test with 14.6 gr. Beeman FTS. This gun spits them at 988 fps @ 31 fpe. With 10 shots the extreme spread is only 4 fps. It’s gonna take some time to get all the tests done because I am too pre-occupied with Condor and IZH.
Put a Leupold 3-9×33 EFR on it (took it off the TX200). It weighs only 11 oz. My goal was to put not only the toughest but also the lightest scope on the Eliminator. Didn’t do any accuracy tests yet, but will probably go with heavier pellet to get it down to 900 fps or so.

Hi,

did have a few years a Bushnell trophy 4-12 x 40 on my Eliminator,
No trouble , also a Leupold 4-12x No trouble, and the rifle was not on his max. shoot around 28 ft/lbs with it, only now iI’m not shooting it.

Use only blacky/ greeny ( my old gunpower stealth ) 😛

For that kind of gun I would look at a Leupy or Bushy. You are going to need a company that has a no bullshit warranty.

I have a Bushnell Legend 5×15 on my Kodiak and Patriot. I’ve heard good things on Bushnells warranty, but I’ve never had to use it… yet.

So far so good with the Legend.

For lower end scope, I still like the Leapers TS series. Have several of them and have had to send one back, but it was replaced immediately.

I’ve heard good things about the Hawke scopes, but I cannot comment as I dont own one.

i’ve got a 4200 on my talon ss and it’s great. no i just got an eotech which is pretty badARSE. the 552. i ordered a 3x mag for it as well. it’s a REALLY cool scope. shoot’n with both eyes open takes some getting used to.
