Q:

These .22cal NOT fitting!

I’ve bought some 30grain PILE DRIVERS (bullets!) and some 32grain SAMYANG for my AF Air Rifle; But noticed (concerned) that the PD’s had to be forced or PUSHED to load them. At 5.52mm Body Diameter had a lot of friction due to, maybe the “bullet” style and not “Wasp Waist” of the normal pellet. I saw and bought some 32grain Pellets and those (5.5mm) are so hard to press into the barrel, way more than the P D’s 😯 It’s just not right! What’s up with this “blank” factor?!! 😕

quote Matthius:

Slug your barrel and measure exactly what the dimensions are?
Huh?

Shove a pellet down the barrel and measure it.

Mat,

Slug your barrel and measure exactly what the dimensions are. You will have a better idea which pellet will fit it better and why.

I have the Air Force barrel. Walther….. Suppose to be real good. So why so not fitting all these grains & mm’s 👿 they’re suppose to?

All I got ta say is, “Sh!!t!” that’s a BIG spread!
I’m think’n they rifle REAL NICE down the barrel with a good fit (maybe your fit); but….. Mine are 5.52mm and seem SNUG ta me. So for a better fit I got 5.5mm and they have to be about forced to go in seat! I’m kinda POed because they’re heavier weight also!

The .22 PDs go into my barrel real sweet (it’s a BSA barrel), but unfortunately they shoot for shit (12″ groups at 53yds, I kid you not). I assume they test new pellets before going into production, but presumably not on BSA barrels. 😆
