Thinking of going to an 18" barrel Yes or No?
Got a 24″ now and it works great, but realistically, I’m not gonna shoot beyond 50 yds anytime soon, and I wouldn’t mind a shorter gun as well.
From what I’ve seen here, the 18 seems to be the happy medium… compact yet still delivers the heat. How well do the heavy pellets work with it?
Does anyone think an 18″ barrel is a bad idea?

I didn’t pop for the high flow tank. Just the High Flow valve. It only took a few minutes to install it. Breaking the seal the first time is the hard part. 😉
Before I installed the high flow valve, I hot rodded my talon valve. It gave very good velocity in the 12″ bbl, with good shot count. I have never tried it with the 18″ bbl. At least I don’t thnik I did.

Everybody else has all 3 barrels and shrouds to go with them
Buzz…Go for it…..Order a Condor high flow tank and hammer
weight too. The hammer in the SS and Condor are the same
and the Condor weight is cheap….That should take care of
everything…
Regulators and high capacity tanks are next.

I have a 18″ in .22 and Love-it! But with the Condor valve and Kodiaks, it’s good to 100 yards on rabbits. 😀

Good idea just to get the valve….Although it is handy to be able
to switch from low to high power without decompressing the tanks….
I swapped the tanks on my nephew this weekend and he most
crapped himself when he heard the crack from the pellet going
SS….I only wish I knew enough about the valves to tweak them…..
